Seriously.

Like, maybe if they were ONLY good at anti air... But the fact that they overlap and sometimes outperform the roles of the Thor, Viking, Banshee, Battlecruiser, and to a certain extent Siege Tank... Like... Why?!

Yeah... when I first saw the Liberator I assumed it couldn't hit air. What do they cost? 400 minerals / 300 gas?

150/150 3 supply 43 second build

Well I think I'm kinda overreacting; let's not forget that Leenock should have grabbed those ebays and saved his lair so he wasn't so far down in upgrades.

Nothing. Cure was massively ahead as a 3/3 terran with consistently better mining against a zerg that was never going to reach hive. Mass muta delayed the inevitable a bit, but it didn't matter what Leenock did, he was ultimately a dead man. It was probably the best strategy to extend the game, but it was never going to win it. I'm glad hots style mass muta is dead to boot.

Mutas clumping up and a-moving against Libs is the same as the whining about marines vs banes pre-MKP splitting them up

Don't forget they can also be reactored out.

For some fucking reason

Fair as zerg can make 50-mutas as once at any point.

to be fair Cure was far ahead before the muta massacre

When liberators came out that meant Leenock had no way to continue his comeback. Win condition achieved.

Cure was FAR ahead in army supply and leenock lost his lair. even if liberators wouldn't exist he would have easily won the game.
Don't get me wrong I think libs are OP vs mutas but they aren't the reason leenock lost this game.

The thing is that terran has to be somewhat afraid when zerg has mass mutas. As soon as the number is reduced to only a few it's game over 100%

i think cure was far enough ahead that he could have left 20-30 marines at home to defend vs mutas and kill Leenock with the rest of his army.

Just remove the splash on the AA air attack and give it to the thor

Pretty sure the Thor still has splash AA (doesn't it?)

Cure was ahead for sure. I guess he was scared of a base race if he moved out and Leenock went around him.

Terran afraid of base race?

When zerg has a large group of mutas and burrowed banelings then yes terran will want to avoid a base race.

And if they're clumped they'd still die instantly to 6 liberators
