That's actually not really my main point. It's rather the significantly lower quality of competition in these tournaments.
Look at pretty much any foreign tournament and you will see that there aren't a lot of s class players competing there.

A true all time great should do well in multiple formats, that's pretty much the second point.

I got that part Viper. No one is denying the "lower" quality of the competition. And a true all time great can be great in one aspect and not the other. That shouldn't lower their standing in the echelon. I'm the biggest TaeJa fanboy there is and I have no problem calling him out when he loses to someone he shouldn't or performs at a lower caliber than we know he can perform at. But he's still one of the greats to touch StarCraft.

Anyway, I'm excited for tonight. Who's gonna make the thread for Group B?

When you think of players who are historically great in both weekend tournaments and preparation style tournaments, who comes to mind besides Life and MVP?
MC won 2 GSL's in "the weak era" of sc2, and never even came close to the weekend tournament success of Taeja.
Polt while having a longer span of relevancy compared to teaja still lacks in number of victories compared to Taeja.

primes come and go all the time.. but skill , tajea had some of the best games against the best.. many times , is one of the most legit terrans , im sure he would do fine or at least average in proleague or gsl ssl..

Dont have time to scroll through 50 pages. Can someone point to the part where people talk about how perfect Zest played and how he looked like a stone cold killer in all his games?

Also: Mandatory go Taeja!
