no one likes complainers but seriously? running the SEA/SA qualifiers with no advantage for winners in a double elim bracket.. not seeding the NA bracket and having it be really lopsided.. single elim for EU.. banning masa even though he should be able to play + probably more things

just baffles me how a big tournament are making nonsense decisions and seemingly going backwards

to busy jerking off on the cs:go tournament.
don't get me wrong, i watch cs:go but dreamhack is what i hate the most: no fuck given, just keeping sc2 to attract sponsors and keep the marketing rolling.

Semper is an up and coming Canadian Terran. He's pretty good from what I'd seen, probably capable of beating Scarlett if he plays well

wow then he must be really good, because Scarlett is stronger than all other NA combined in my humble opinion.

Great to see new canadian terrans, but I think Scarlett gonna win very easy like always because absolutely great gaming skill

Scarlett has not dominate NA scene in a few year now, she lost to many NA player in 2014-2015, i still think she will qualify today.

I don't think Scarlett can be considered favorite over State. Not even close. She was very good, but hardly plays according to her twitter. State plays 9 hours a day on Kr GM.

She barely plays according to her twitter, but according to her match history she's been rocking NA ladder pretty hard.

I'm not saying she's a scrub. I'm saying State is the best foreigner atm. Or very close to.

How can he be the best foreigner? I am of very different opinion there. Maybe if we see results soon. I can't find any notable achievements from "State", but maybe he will be good in future?

Lets see and wait. For now I don't think State is Top5 foreigner.

Edit : WOW scarlett creep spread is monster

Results from which tournaments? He hasn't been playing the EU/NA tournaments yet. It's also just my opinion. I've watched all top Protoss streams. And State has some skills that none of the others come near. You should watch his stream. You'll be a believer in no time. If you ever watch streams that aren't zerg.

being the best protoss streamer does not get you even close to be top foreigner... showtime/lilbow/ptitdrogo don't even stream, and Mana and others are still better.
and that's only talking about protoss players, he is not even top 20 foreigners imo

Have you even seen him play?

Top100 GM Kr over a loooong period of time is not top20 foreigner? ARE YOU SHITTING ME?

I'd love to see a best-of series between Mana and State. I believe State has a big edge, but I'd like to see it played out. Sadly it wont happen because of servers.

Isn't Lisandro a random EU GM that is also top 100 GM KR?

Catz has been a top 100-50 kr gm forever, he gets top 1 GM on NA with 0 effort when he plays.
Is he a top foreigner?

Freaking Minimath was top 100 while being in Korea for studies. Not breaking into the top 50 precisely mean that State isn't the next big thing at the moment.

It is hard to watch Protoss streams for me. They are very slow and I get bored after 1-2 matches. I need some high speed APM action

Maybe you are right and he will be good in future. He in korea training? Does he play GSL or other korea tournaments? It would be cool to see good foreigner in korea agian like IdrA or Jinro back in WoL

He lives in Korea and has been training there for 2 years or so. He was on Prime before and tried to qualify for GSL etc. but without success so far. He is playing a lot right now though and MC will coach him once a week at his place, so I still think he should become really good in the long run.

Hmm that doesn't sound too good sadly

Last time there was that much drama for a qualifier was for the WCS qualifier organized by NASL.

Well let's see how he does in the new expansion. You should catch his stream and check him out once. He is rank 36 GM on Korea right now, not sure how much that means though.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Freaking Minimath was top 100 while being in Korea for studies. Not breaking into the top 50 precisely mean that State isn't the next big thing at the moment.

Wasn't KR GM stacked at some point?
Or was it when there were far more players in korea, it seems so easy right now :x.

Catz has been a top 100-50 kr gm forever, he gets top 1 GM on NA with 0 effort when he plays.
Is he a top foreigner?

Top1 zero effort. Then why is he not a pro gamer?

Because he is about as good as state?

It is hard to watch Protoss streams for me. They are very slow and I get bored after 1-2 matches. I need some high speed APM action

Maybe you are right and he will be good in future. He in korea training? Does he play GSL or other korea tournaments? It would be cool to see good foreigner in korea agian like IdrA or Jinro back in WoL
Huk got ignored so bad

Oh sorry I forgot. Mistake happen. I make mistake away

"It would be cool to see good foreigner in korea agian like HUK, idra or jinro back in WoL "

Well let's see how he does in the new expansion. You should catch his stream and check him out once. He is rank 36 GM on Korea right now, not sure how much that means though.

Was he 36 before the bonus pool thing happen? GM rank means shit for some week until it fixes itself.

36 is pretty good when the ladder works well.

Not sure what you mean with the bonus pool thing, but I think he was rank around 70 before the reset? Not sure, but I saw him around those ranks before when he streamed.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

Passion or Poor life choices take your pick.
What are you even arguing for anymore :D
I brought catz up as an example that top 100 gm on kr doesn't mean that much if you want to live of your skill

He was rank 2 gm Kr after the reset. But that wont last.

He was bobbing between 80 and 60 before that. For a few weeks.

They didn't reset. They fucked up by locking the ladder way too early then unlocked it and gifted 200+ bonus pool to everyone. That kicked everyone out of GM and it's no filled with people with shitty mmr and basically mean shit until it's fixed. Which will probably be next season. There are players who got their 1st gm sitting in the top 50 atm in Europe.

Yeah rank 70ish is what I saw too. Around "retired" ForGG's lvl.
