Shitty but entertaining. That's better than most finals, if not than most series.

it was really boring lol, don't tell me you are entertained by 7gates, immortal all-ins and abysmall DT rush attempts

Well, based on that comment he is. Unless somebody else wrote it logged in into his account.

Don't forget Life/Lilbow.

I actually have very little recollection of that series heh

you watch life vs. s0s and get mad when they do what life and sos do? which they are bar none the two best players in the world at doing?

Theres a difference between no rush 20 and a good macro game.

Matches can be epic for different reasons. Long macro games give you that "slow burn" epicness where both players are building up and trying to find incremental advantages; but short, back and forth games with all-ins and timing attacks are nice for the clutch starsense and micro. Like, when you know the stakes are high and the player has put everything on the line, and needs to win it all with just a handful of zerglings, that's epic too. So props to both Life and sOs, ggs, and gl in LotV!

(also, did anyone else get flashbacks to the Life/Parting GSL final where the last map was also Iron Fortress, and Life again did an early zergling rush? I wonder if sOs remembered....)

No, long macro games like the one yesterday Classic vs. herO are making people leave SC2 for other games, They are so boring. Never epic.

I'd rather watch 7 30 minute drg vs innovation, taeja vs innovation, jd vs dear, curious vs innovation, flash vs hyvaa, ryung vs flash, then the shit we just saw.

oh god that game was so good. I haven't seen all games on day 1, but as far as I remember it that one was the best game of the tournament and it was a PvP.

What on earth was fun about it? Dunno about you guys but I don't find 2 base blink all in +2 with a 3rd particularly fun, nor do I find 14 speed/bling all in fun, nor do I find dt rushes fun.

Maybe I should under go therapy with Artosis or something so he can teach me how fun immortal all ins are.

Don't tell me you didn't shout out when the warp prism got sniped

No I rolled my eyes at a unit which I don't think should exist being micro'd so terribly that he lost a game from it.

One of the best parts of this whole thing, and undoubtedly the silver lining for me as a fan, is this:

His greatest triumph, defeating JaeDong years ago, becoming king, lifting the scepter. A singular achievement, that, one he had never been able to match. It wasn't even the achievement, really—it was the process. His process. The unadultered joy of discovery, of peeling back every layer of his foe, of using what he found against them. Somehow, after Life's ascent, he had lost it. Forgotten how it felt. He hadn't been himself, he realized. He watched the Zerg sway and stumble his way across the plain as if his pants were on fire, never turning once to see the grinning face of his better. sOs hadn't been himself, he realized.

But I am now.

...

The so-called Little Psycho looked ecstatic. "You're on! You'll want to hear the news, though. Word is that—" Screaming interrupted him.

"Oh ignore that, they always make so much noise. You were saying?"

"The other clans are mobilizing. The scepter's location must be known because Life is on the move."

sOs cocked an eyebrow. That little brat. Not for a second time. Slowly, a smile grew on his face. It hadn't taken long, but it had certainly taken long enough. "Now would be a perfect time to get revenge on that little creep for what he did."

Maru looked pained. It was easy to forget, sOs remembered, that the little Terran had suffered just as he had. The chance at greatness, snatched away in the final moment.

"Yes, but word is they've even woken Zest."

sOs raised his hand before his face, rolling the amulet between his fingers, feeling strangely at ease with the revelation. "Oh," he said, "don't worry about that." He snapped his fingers, and a spark of bright energy crackled above them. "I've got a few new tricks in store for them. And they never see me coming."

"No," Maru agreed, looking somewhat put at ease by his elder's apparent confidence. "Those fools."

One of the best parts is some poorly written fanfiction?

Is that what the game's become? Shitty all ins and "storylines" over good gameplay?

You must really hate fun, do you?

What on earth was fun about it? Dunno about you guys but I don't find 2 base blink all in +2 with a 3rd particularly fun, nor do I find 14 speed/bling all in fun, nor do I find dt rushes fun.

your opinion is different

when opinion = different:

2. You are trolling
