Matches can be epic for different reasons. Long macro games give you that "slow burn" epicness where both players are building up and trying to find incremental advantages; but short, back and forth games with all-ins and timing attacks are nice for the clutch starsense and micro. Like, when you know the stakes are high and the player has put everything on the line, and needs to win it all with just a handful of zerglings, that's epic too. So props to both Life and sOs, ggs, and gl in LotV!

(also, did anyone else get flashbacks to the Life/Parting GSL final where the last map was also Iron Fortress, and Life again did an early zergling rush? I wonder if sOs remembered....)

No, long macro games like the one yesterday Classic vs. herO are making people leave SC2 for other games, They are so boring. Never epic.

I'd rather watch 7 30 minute drg vs innovation, taeja vs innovation, jd vs dear, curious vs innovation, flash vs hyvaa, ryung vs flash, then the shit we just saw.

I thought the highlight of Dear/JD was game 5 where Dear lost with a 2 base all-in to a sick burrow trap.

I thought that was the only good part of that series.

According to the LR thread, the other games were "highly recommended". Low end of 4star games for the most part.

In my opinion it was beautiful to see the difference in defending the ling rushes between the Life/Classic series and Life/sOs series. Definitely will watch these parts again to see what the deciding factor was.

Don't forget Life/Lilbow.

Nah, I want to see actual defenses, not a walkover

I guess your 2nd favorite player is Arthur.

Arthur was a man of many emotions

and even more gateway all-ins!

I predict great things coming from HuK with Legacy

With Scarlett's return too, let's hope it's a great game for Canada :D

Hell yeah, a great game for Canada, and therefore, the world!
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

LR thread just gave 5 stars to a game that opened as a build order win and then dragged out for 18 minutes of agony

you say agony I say prolonged pleasure

It was the only good game of the series, but that's the type of game I'm referencing.

It is? The other games you mentioned are long macro games (Flash vs hyvaa?).

That was the one where Flash became paranoid and then never moved out of his base right?

The good macro hyvaa game was vs Innovation in GSTL

hyvaa was so underrated, such a sick player

What an idiot ...

Hmm, Ej_ is no idiot

Well, based on that comment he is. Unless somebody else wrote it logged in into his account.

I guess your 2nd favorite player is Arthur.

Arthur was a man of many emotions

and even more gateway all-ins!

A man's man, a Huk's Huk

I predict great things coming from HuK with Legacy

With Scarlett's return too, let's hope it's a great game for Canada :D

Hell yeah, a great game for Canada, and therefore, the world!

Really though, foreign players of any country have that effect so you're right
