By nature of open playing fields there obviously wouldn't be an analogy in physical sports (that I'm aware of), but I think the implication that because it doesn't exist in any other sport it must be bad is curious. I like the concept of diligent scouting and information prevention in Starcraft and other esports. I think it's actually one of the most exciting parts.

I don't mind scouting to know timings, what the opponent is up to etc
But you know what I am refering to - its the game winning BS you sometimes cannot scout. And I hate that, its kinda dirty, and in my believe not an "honest" win.

a win is a win, it doesn't need to be 'honest', as long as there's no real cheating.

I will stop the bullshit protoss statement now.
But you cannot believe a win has the same "worth" if it is achieved in a dirty way. Michael Schumacher will always be remembered as record champion - as well as one of the dirtiest F1 drivers ever.

Every sport and game has hidden information SC2 is just more blatant about it.
Protoss having the most varied cheeses is a fact no one right in the head is arguing that so there is no need to repeat it over and over :D

It really kills the fun for me. It completely takes it away for me, and many others. Its bad design I think
Starcraft is a great game if you have a fun, macro games against zerg or terran, even toss if you have one that doesn't cheese. But it immidiately gets frustrating, more then a normal loss, when you lose JUST because of BS. I hope you understand my frustration

You're probably only going to lose to a surprise if you take risks. Though at a top-level I admit it's necessary to take risks sometimes. I do think you're blowing things out of proportion, people seem to think PvP is hast he most luck and bullshit yet someone like Zest has an insane PvP winrate vs other Koreans despite PvP's reputation.

at least he was remembered, someone else noble out there might never be remembered... Also, how you are in a game or in the F1 track doesn't necessarily reflect your personality, so its not like those guys are bad people

But I don't consider it bullshit when it comes down to it.
Anything allowed by the game is fair and just to me.
