Not saying sOs has no skill, on the contrary the huge variety of builds he knows impresses me, and reading his opponent, comebacks, mindgames... and yeah, lol i should watch chess.... or ANY other sport, because I cannot remember andy sport that works that way: hide something to surprise the oponent and if he isn't prepared then you win. The only thing that reminds me of is faking an injury/foul in soccer to win by penalties if you are the worse team and cannot score goals by yourself By nature of open playing fields there obviously wouldn't be an analogy in physical sports (that I'm aware of), but I think the implication that because it doesn't exist in any other sport it must be bad is curious. I like the concept of diligent scouting and information prevention in Starcraft and other esports. I think it's actually one of the most exciting parts. I completely agree on that. I don't mind scouting to know timings, what the opponent is up to etc But you know what I am refering to - its the game winning BS you sometimes cannot scout. And I hate that, its kinda dirty, and in my believe not an "honest" win.

haha I agree with you that protoss definitely has a wide variety of builds, and each requires a different type of response, which makes this type of gamble-y play frustrating to play against or watch when it happens over and over.
I guess I just feel that its hard to blame SoS for utilizing it in 'abusive' ways because he's a competitor/professional. Above all, its his goal to win and support himself.
Its similar to asking Zergs to avoid BL/Infestor during its strength because it's imba or hard to play against (requires more skill to beat less skilled opponent).
Hate the game not the player?
Edit: I just find different types to enjoy from different types of games.. Watching macro games are awesome because of the skill/multitasking required Watching SoS games is entertaining because ... 'How is he making this work!?'

It obviously isn't good for you. its easy for a cheese-toss to laugh at others. Next soccer game I just foul all opponent players (hidden, so the referee doesn't see it) until they cannot play anymore. Circumventing the meta, but hey, its part of the game. And these other players shouldn't bee too salty, its bad for their diet
