IEM returns to Europe outside of the World Championship, and back to gamescom after a two year break. This qualifier will send three from the European regional server to the event.

Qualifier Cup
Details
- All games are played on Europe Stacraft 2 server regardless of location!
- Top 3 receive a spot in IEM gamescom
- You must be at least 16 years of age by January August 5th ( the date of the LAN event)
- Hotel and flight cost are paid for in full by ESL.

Stage 2: Sunday, Jul 12 12:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)

+ Show Spoiler [Map Selection Rules] +Best of 3 in all rounds. Once the quarter finals round is reached the matches end, and the 8 players then move to stage #2.
A map veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seed (lower number) on the bracket chooses who starts. Players take it in removing maps until only one remains in a best of 1 or until only 3 maps remain in a best of 3. Then each player picks a map. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.

According to this, 6 hours before it starts nobody has signed up for Stage 1. Maybe this is an LR hero's chance to reach stage 2.

Gfinity is the same weekend. Snute already qualified and invites haven't been named yet, I assume Bunny will be going to Gfinity if he doesn't play this.

I didn't expect ForGG to dominate EU completely forever or anything, but he really has fallen off a lot. I don't think he is even top10 in EU.
