Global All-Stars 2.0

The Global All-stars tournament is run by the OSC team and aims to increase the interaction and competition between the North American, European, SEA and Chinese scenes. The tournament is open to all SEA, EU, NA and China citizens and gives a chance for many of these regions best and up-and-coming players to test themselves against pros they may not usually play against.

Additionally we want to see how the regions match up, and who will take out the trophy and title of best foreigner!

In addition to the $ prize pool, this tournament also gives out OSC points towards the $5000+ yearly finals!

This Global All-Stars Tournament is sponsored by Eddie, and Saulo Silva fine photography.

Season 2 follows a different format to Season 1.

The top 3 ranked players by OSC points (as of May 31st) along with the top 3 players from Season 1 are seeded in the Round of 16, which will take place at 7pm AEST/11am CEST on June 21st.
They will be joined by the top 2 players from 5 gsl style groups. Each group will have 4 players.
The players in the group stage will consist of 14 invites and the top 3 players from Qualifiers 1 and 2.
Brackets Here

$1000 Prizepool!

1st $500 + 350 OSC points
2nd $200 + 225 OSC points
3rd $125 + 175 OSC points
4th $75 + 100 OSC points
5/6th $50 + 75 OSC points each
7/8th 40 OSC points each
9-12th 20 OSC points each
13-16th 10 OSC points each
$ = USD.
(OSC Points count towards $5000+ end of year tournament and other bonuses)

Help us support those players who need it most. These guys might not have the support of a Kespa team, the glory/opportunities of a GSL, or the overall culture and acceptance of their craft that their Korean adversaries receive.

We are asking the community to help us add to our prizepool. This is a grassroots/non for profit organisation, so any assistance you can give towards helping us run this event would be appreciated. All money goes to the players!

We've set-up a indiegogo page, please check it out.

Money raised: 190/700

Default server is North America, however if both players agree, their series can be played on another server, but must you notify admin before + after. In the event of disagreement, Game 1 will be played on NA, and the loser can pick the server for the next map.

Players are advised to join the in game group OSC on NA server, so they can contact their opponents and admin.

+ Show Spoiler [Map Pool] +
Coda LE, Echo LE, Expedition Lost, Vaani Research Station, Cactus Valley LE, Inferno Pools, Iron Fortress LE

For Best of 3 Series, both players take turns to veto 2 maps from the map pool, so there is 3 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, and start with the remaining map.
For Best of 5 Series, both players take turns to veto 1 map from the map pool, so there is 5 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, repeat, and start with the remaining map.

Only official tournament streams and casters are allowed to observe/stream matches. No first person streams.

Admin team: DevianT, Elusory and Namakaye

Event Sponsors

Without these companies contributing to our tournament it's fair to say the prizepool would be far smaller. But it's not just about the $'s. All these companies have a long history of supporting Starcraft 2 and esports. They care about the scene and the community. So many thanks to them all! If you esports fans, players etc can send them some love and thanks for supporting SC2 + the Oseanic Championship Series it would be appreciated in return. They all are leaders in their industry, so if it comes down to a choice between brands, pick these guys who support esports!

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series

What is OSC?

For those who are unaware, The Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC) is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments. Although the network is based in and focuses on these regions, many events are open to everyone in the world.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2014 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $29691 combined prizepool, ($ bounties, Terran Bonus initiative, Invitationals, and LAN events were not included in this!), ran 155 completed partnered tournaments (up from 77 last year, which equates to 100% growth), and had 358 individual players with points earned (up from 138 in 2013 = 159% growth)

GuMiho was 2014's Champion, taking out the $3500 finals series.
PiG was 2013's Champion, taking out the $2100 finals series.

Current OSC rankings and database can be viewed here

Factors which influence how many OSC points tournaments are allocated include: prizepool, format, frequency, open qualifiers and region locking.

Some unique/interesting features of OSC tournaments and rankings.
  • Players are seeding via points acquired from previous OSC placings. (Points often are awarded to 16/32nd place)

  • If you defeat someone ranked in the top 32, or higher than yourself, you earn scalp/bonus points (These are used in the event of a tie for yearly finals qualification)

  • Players can challenge each other to show matches and put their points on the line, winner takes all.

  • There are $ Bounties on top tier players if you can defeat them in a Bo3+ series

  • Rankings reflect tournament success, participation, and direct individual series

  • We have an active paid news writing team who provide fresh sc2 content and OSC coverage, available at sc2sea.com

OSC Supporter Packages

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards. Subscribers are also another way we can potentially market ourselves to prospective sponsors, which in turn will result in further growth.

We also provided supporters with bonuses such as event replay packs, and chance to win 1 hour of coaching from top tier players.

If you are interested, you can subscribe here.

It is only as our name.

Basically a way to represent our target regions, and pay homage to our roots.

Global All Stars is just one many tournaments that make up the OSC league.
Many are open to all regions, koreans included, and as such, quite a few koreans have won tournaments, and are highly ranked. Our OSC Champion last season was GuMiho.

Global All Stars is an event to support the foreign scene, so no Koreans this time unless they meet the eligibility requirements.

Hi guys, first thx for making this work, was wondering if there's any place I can find the replays for Group D, i found the other ones on their respective casters' channel but it appears that Blysk hasn't upload anything yet. Any link ?

R16 Finals starts in a little over 1 hour!

Unfortunately Kane has had to withdraw.
He was a seed from Global All Stars #1. The next highest player from that event was Zanster, so he is revived and will take the position.

Predictions?

Due to Snute playing in KFC, we'll move the finals to 1pm CEST tomorrow (Monday)

Lilbow will be waiting in the finals to play either Snute or Bunny.

He didn't drop a map in the group stage either. Perfect run! Will it continue?

I think he will win but it will be hard to keep his clean sheet.

I just saw Bunny is listed as only have a 1-0 win of Kelazhur in the LB. Is that a mistake? Did Kelazhur forfeit after game 1? Was it a walkover?

It is the correct score - Kelazhur decided to forfeit G2 as was very tired (It was getting very late/early in NA), and wanted to get a couple of hours sleep before IEM Shenzhen qualifiers.

He did make it into the money, and scored a decent amount of OSC points to increase his ranking
