You missed Livvibee out of polls? I think she is most known girl there? Unless the Chinese one is good? Queene will lose to Livvibee i think. She took a map of someone at the last DH right?
Oh right i see she wasn't in the drawing so i guess she didn't go. Why did i doubt Master Wayne :o

Man, when was the last time you heard the name sYz? His ZvZ form should be pretty well-tested with that group.
Also, MoskoTheBear is a pretty decent player. Might pull a surprise.
haha what is up with that race distribution. Obviously not worth most people's effort or time.
Welmu vs. Zest finals please and best of luck to Soyhi as well!
QueenE is also Protoss, not Zerg.

sYz for the win! Group A should be close, all the others are no brainers.
The lineup, and then Zest....what?
Zest will win this hands down haha......Gogo Slivko though!
looks like a pretty stacked zparcraft II tournament to me.

Snovski is protoss! So there's not only zvz in group A haha. Should be fun, Snovski is a pretty solid gm Protoss.
Life and Taeja are not here so Zest will probably win.

With Zest playing, it looks like the more interesting question is Who's going to take second place.
any twitch streams for this?
Oh man, I just noticed that something else was going on this weekend besides HSC. That player list, though. They should've just given Zest the first place check and sent him home the first day, no need to waste his time. Surprisingly they also managed to get Tastosis to cast, which warrants a look at least.
hmm looking at the liquidpedia page, theres links for the IESF streams of Hearthstone and DOTA
but guess theres no stream for SC2 or something....
whats up with that lol
France1887 Posts
Some SC2 games will definitely be on stream. Tasteless and Artosis have been announced as the casters. If you read the whole streams section, it clearly says which games will be casted.
Also, it's Liquiddpeddia, with four d's.

Soyhi won 2-1 over QueenE in the semifinals and advances to the final, where she faces either Mayuki or Aurelia. The bronze match shoud start at 12:00 GMT (+00:00) and the final at 13:00 GMT (+00:00). They are played on the Hearthstone stage so the stream should be this one.
Edit: The results are in and Mayuki won the other semifinal 2-1 over Aurelia.

This is the typical chinese tournament, lol.
Decent prizemoney. Check Hardly anyone realizes it happens. Check. No stream or extremely laggy stream. Check
Well to be honest I don't even mind that only the semis will get streamed, but given they'll be streamed on Viagame (which I don't really mind since a twitch monopol isn't a good thing) and there is basically no information on this tournament except in this thread, only few people will watch.
EDIT: Now I realize it's from Azerbaijan and apparently the company is from South Korea. Oh well.

Check Actually, this event is still a big step up from IeSF WC 2012 and IeSF WC 2013, so at least they are improving. Still a long way to go until they reach today's standards as far as the media and internet audience is concerned. I assume the on-site experience is decent because I haven't heard any big problems at the venue yet from the Finnish team. IeSF provided a 5 star hotel for all their guests, so at least they can rest comfortably.

Yeah, I don't mind if the players have a good experience, get paid and the tournament somehow manages to keep on going.

Hey guys this is VOD of the semifinals with some of the sound being cut off. http://www.twitch.tv/pgl2/b/589086682 If you want to hear some funny caster stuff just skip to 54:30... this might be some sort of a curse isn't it?^^

I'd never think someone from Property would ever take engagements this well against the best Protoss in the world.

I'm impressed by Zanster but Zest is playing really weird.
25:30 - when Zest started to pull away in the first game.
EDIT: Apparently the second game.

playing broodlord on nimbus .. easy to deal with for zest

I don't think I've ever seen Zest do this before.

Still hasn't lost a Phoenix, Rain would be proud.
Why is Zest going for this stupid composition....
OK, that's pretty much the definition of a "full foreigner" engagement.
C is also next to X for Phoenix.
did zest lose a single map in this tournament ?
Nope. Perfect tournament.
Well, that was a surprisingly combative series. Just goes to show that as much as people often like to pretend otherwise, there's no monopoly on talent.

Or it shows that in big skill gaps games can still look pretty close.

Is there VOD of the finals anywhere?

Yea, games can be not close even if they look it, and vice-versa.

No french for IeSF, just because people in charge in france seems to not actually care of this ( there were no qualifier or selection ) kinda sad. Last year edition looked way better in term of level than this one
Hahahha Zest went 13-0 in this...he is a beast...no competition there for him.
At least one triumph for KT today!
What an unexpected result.
Congratulations to Mayuki!
And yeah, Zest wins the whole thing without dropping a single map. Lolz BIG SURPRISE.

Zest still repping KT, REPRESENT

Only the top 8 is in TLPD. TLPD doesn't always list all the games of a tournament, only the games that are relevant. I'm not saying Jim vs Welmu and Jim vs HateMe are not relevant, but I guess, since players like StatiC, Envy and mosko were in the group stage, it was easier for whoever entered the results to completely ignore the group stage.

yea i guess so, especially if its a well known player beating a unknown player
but i thought it was just weird it wasnt listed since both players are very well known (as in Welmu AND Jim)....
