It's called who's the best european, but as stated in the OP it's a non-korean tournament. Every foreigner can play, they just have to do so on the EU server. So Huk, Scarlett etc. can play too.

We're also going to do something pretty unique, and involve non-koreans only. There will be some who disagree with this choice, but it's not done out of spite or malice, but out of celebration & excitement for the foreigners! Everything will be European focus, and anyone from NA is welcome to try to play, but all matches will be on the EU server.
Quoted from OP.

basically, him going SH vs Terran is pretty realistic, and not because Snute told him how to do that :O

even if it was just europe rather than all non-koreans, Australia is close enough to Austria and there aren't any more Austrian pros afaik so they just take their spot

Ah I remember that blog. That is cool knowledge, but he wasn't able to really make it work like Snute showed, right? Plus wasn't Snute's version with muta/ling/bling? Roach hydra into swarmhost is not unheard of, yeah. We were thinking ling/bling/sh. At least I was. u_u

Would be nice to have proper seeding for the next qualifier, cause this was pretty sad.

After the first qualifier we have pretty much met our initial funding goal! We would, of course, love to raise more for a larger prize pool so the donation option will remain open but we are at Current Prize Pool: $2920 / $3,000
My apologies for the small hiccups that began the event, but I am pretty happy with how the overall qualifier ran, and I look very forward to our next one on the 18th Information below
QUALIFIER #2 Monday, Aug 18 5:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) http://challonge.com/BaseTradeTV2
Please keep in mind that the time stamp above is tailored to your TL account, so please make sure you are logged in to see exactly when the qualifier begins, at your local time
I look forward to seeing Bly Nerchio InZaNe and PiG in our top 16 :-)

Great entertainment day 1, hoping for more on Monday!

BasetradeTV, I'd suggest listing the qualifiers (and results) in the first post for more visibility.

As the world's number 1 InZaNe fan I am happy that he finally was able to show that he is truly a top-16 European.
