Yeah. People take a lot for granted. I enjoy watching SC2. I loved having FFW_Rude LR it and would not have had such a great morning without it. But no one likes to pick a flower when it's buried in thorns.

But they hate the game, of course.

Btw, does anyone else find it strange that proleague, that usually is all about preparation, has playoffs on consecutive days making it almost impossible for the finalists to prepare properly? In theory if you couldn't predict the other finalist at all, KT would have had to prepare for 3 completely different scenarios. You can prepare players for specific matchups on specific maps like reality vs SK and roro vs rain

And aggressive mech gets punished by vipers. So I don't think it is fair to pin this on Reality. Agreed, they both picked the strategies they thought gave them the best chance to win. That's pretty much that.

Just like from SK's point of view, SH turtle was his best chance to win. So my statement of blaming Reality is obviously wrong, though I still feel you saying he didn't force SK to make SH's is also false. He did, SK had no other choice due to how strong Sky Terran is when combined with a mech ground force. But in any case, it's clear that there have to be a few tweaks and changes. Blizzard has already said that they won't make any large design changes outside of another expansion, so small number tweaks are the best we can hope for.

Individual snipers will become more problematic unless you can find similar weaknesses on multiple players on different teams. I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing. Just seems a bit weird considering the nature of the matches on round robin and how the team's strengths might not carry to the playoffs.

Ok maybe he isn't, its fun to see a game like that once in a while, but it still doesn't stop me from thinking that game represents everything that's wrong in SC2.

Their job is to win, using whatever tools happen to be available. That's it. Any blame for how the game is played lies with the people who made it.
