small roach squad early game not doing to much vs maru who had claokless banshees. Maru then aggressively pushed SK third at 130 supply and destroyed it but SK saved all drones and moved them to newly made 4th. Maru kept killing 4th, then 3rd, then 4th again so SK was forced to switch bases all the time.
SK was counter attacking all game long with mutas and roaches while defending with SH. Over time SK managed to cripple Marus economy and he slowly made the mutaball bigger and bigger taking advantage of Marus lack of turret spam. Eventually SK had to good of an economy while Maru was never really able to max out and go for a reall kill push.

Yep, that's what I thought, too. The game would've changed a lot if the MSC didn't recall with like 5hp or so, but with the need to defend his 4th (hidden) base, there was no way the mutas could deal enough damage before tiple stargate phoenix kicks in. And I feel like phoenixes can actually counter corruptors if sent out with range. Yeah. But they better do for how much they cost. So the point of corruptors, which cost the same amount as phoenixes, fly slower and are basically inferior in almost every other way then is...?
They also build 5 seconds slower!

Been a while since i've seen Maru go 11/11

Corrupters are pretty awful, but they're the sort of unit that can end a game if a parity is reached ie. roach/hydra army vs just a few collosus, or mutas infestor vs phoenixes

has wolf ever predicted a build before a game? I keep hearing him say it could be ANYTHING, literally ANYTHING

I don't think corrupters are good against air units that can shoot back, so it's not too surprising to see a fast moving unit which outranges corrupters winning fights with some micro involved. Corruptors are horrible against everything except collosus and carriers ^^
They are quite horrible against Carriers with enough upgrades and mass.

Corruptors are the best unit in the game, and my favorite unit... It was even my favorite unit in Brood War, I love those guys! If you don't like Corruptors, you are not true Zerg player, and you are dead to me...

Pretty much this. Ever since WoL I think that the only purpose for corruptors is being morphed into brood lords. I mean, why in the hell would you ever play corruptors? Right, when you can't reach vipers. That's pretty much it (regarding zvp). They're just a bad unit, though I think corruption is a nice spell, with as much potential as contaminate ... lol To fight vikings so you can get air superiority against a meching terran. It's quite important. Or to fight airtoss as an alternative to vipers. Zerg doesn't have "air superiority" vs a meching terran unless they enter that stage of the game with zerg hideously ahead.

They corrupt ground units.
