It's more like stargate is the overall safe option that's flexible enough to adapt to whatever tech the z happens to go for (or switch into). | ||

Pretty much this. Ever since WoL I think that the only purpose for corruptors is being morphed into brood lords. I mean, why in the hell would you ever play corruptors? Right, when you can't reach vipers. That's pretty much it (regarding zvp). They're just a bad unit, though I think corruption is a nice spell, with as much potential as contaminate ... lol | ||

It's quite important. Or to fight airtoss as an alternative to vipers. | ||

Only point is to cushion for vipers and go for the game winning push against collosus when protoss has no air and you both have ground forces. Any other situation they are pretty terrible :/ | ||
