One word: Marketing

WCG reputation is so bad, Dreamhack is godlike in comparison. WCG is not really viewer friendly, or did that change? I remember waiting hours for games, besides the fact that they alternated the games, meaning first WC3, then SC, then CS etc. I did not watch this WCG though, so perhaps they improved.

I tried to follow WCG, but its broadcast schedule and organization was such an absolute mess that I gave up.

Yes you can put down turrets but that's 200 minerals and delays barracks. If they are placing their buildings well and you don't know whether its stargate or blink or just macro game going blind turret can be dangerous against blink all in since its wasted money and put you behind in a macro game.

wait you mean you have to invest minerals to defend harass, this is clearly unacceptable. It's not like Protoss or zerg has to make cannons, spines, and spores or anything right? Reapers should be able to scout any super-fast tech too btw, if you aren't opening Reaper than thats your own fault. The only way they are hiding tech is by proxy or making a stalker/msc before Nexus which is a dead give away, and even if you still can't figure out blink or oracle just lift your CC into the main and defend... theres no reason to try and defend a natural when he has no Nexus.


How many cannons are Protoss building nowadays in early game PvT?


1-2, if they aren't than they are making a second observer and investing into 2 additional Gateways to defend any sort of harassment


Protoss don't need cannons until the Terran can double drop... That. Is 20 army supply while you need turrets for a single oracle. The timing is a lot different. Terrans also need to make at least 1 bunker...


Widow Mines beg to differ, most Terran are just too stupid to execute a harass build order correctly and miss the proper timing. Send Helions or marines into the natural to force the overcharge than go into the main, if he dosen't have cannons or 3 gates worth of stalkers than you will do damage and you can retreat without losing your investment

Maybe if I explain it to you when it's PvP you can stop seeing red because the word terran was mentioned. Ok in this last game San had 2 stalkers in the mineral line. Hero sent the oracle and still got 5 probe kills and get out without losing it. Pre patch the oracle in order to get that many kills would have had to die. Hence why I said the affect of the buff was more than simply the oracle arriving 2-3 seconds faster. I missed the first bit but saw everything from the 3 stalker part lol. I've seen better Having said that, it was wp by herO. Good decision making and thinking of possibilities that San might do.

Well... It is a PvP, so the way you described it is as exciting as it gets, although I do remember the PvP between HerO and herO. That match was pretty intense because both of them had same DT builds.

I missed the first bit but saw everything from the 3 stalker part lol. I've seen better Having said that, it was wp by herO. Good decision making and thinking of possibilities that San might do.


Well... It is a PvP, so the way you described it is as exciting as it gets, although I do remember the PvP between HerO and herO. That match was pretty intense because both of the same DT builds.


I'd beg to differ sir, PvP is the ultimate chess match. So much that can happen and decision making has to be so quick and flawless. Some of the games might look lopsided but really it was because of just a teeny-tiny mistake.

Actually typing that it sounds like every other mirror matchup, just way cooler ! muahaha. Protoss bias ruins everyone's time, which is sad really.
There are things known, and things unknown, and in-between are the doors.

I'm a Protoss fan, but I like other mirror MU more, although ZvZ has gotten extremely stale lately (I hope they would use the burrowed Roach more!). I don't mind a strategy-oriented game, but PvP is extremely fragile and volatile compared to the other mirrors. Like I said, I haven't seen a 4-3 PvP mirror match up.
