It's time for the next HomeStoryCup! Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen will open the gates to Germany's Nerdvana from the 14th - 17th of November for the world elite of StarCraft II, who will be fighting for glory, honor and fun! The last "HomeKing" title went to Taeja, who defeated Snute in an amazing set of seven games.
To guarantee top matches and the best StarCraft II action imaginable again, we have set up three qualifiers for the HomeStoryCup VIII. Each qualifier is dedicated to its own area: One for Korea, one for the North American area and one for Europe. The winner of the NA, KR and EU-qualifier will get invites for the HomeStoryCup. And like in previous HomeStoryCup qualifiers, the winner of each qualifier will receive a paid trip, which will cover all travel expenses for the HomeStoryCup VIII in Krefeld, Germany.
Qualifier and stream schedule for the HomeStoryCup VIII:
EU Qualifier – October, 23th 5:00 PM CEST – Sign Up KR Qualifier – October, 21st 11:00 AM CEST [KST 6:00 PM] – Sign Up NA Qualifier – October, 22nd 11:30 PM CEST[EDT 5:30 PM] – Sign Up
Everyone is allowed to participate in one of the qualifiers, with the only requirement, that your official place of residence needs to be in the specific region of the qualifier. The SignUps are already available. IMPORTANT: Check-In for each qualifier will be one hour before tournament start and will end 30 minutes before tournament start!
All qualifiers will be broadcasted by Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen along with one or more of his usual suspects. Additionally, we will provide an English stream for each qualifier. The caster(s) for the English stream will be announced soon. So pull on your trunks and equip yourself with cold beer. We herald the summer season with the HomeStory Cup VIII.

Though I understand that the budget for travel expenses is very limited, it's a bit of a shame that only 3 spots (of 32) are determined through qualifiers. :-/
It doesn't let me sign up for the NA qualifier. When I hit the sign in button on the tournament page it says "Nicht zugelassen deine Liga master" which google translated to english means "not approved, you're masters league." Is it grandmasters only then?

i think its a bug in their system. They had it last time too. I guess it will be fixed soon. They'll figure it out eventually :D

Lol in WOL maybeh, in HOTS not so much. But anyway, NO Protoss at any level should lose to Muta when he has opened 2 stargate and has 2-1 upgrades for his sky toss and also been producing units out of the stargates all game long xD

The last time I saw solar play was vs innovation on a long ass game on Whirlwind. was like 8 base 35+ min game where he never got off muta ling bane so I guess he just doesnt do hive tech

I was confused cause in the OP, they say that "like previous HSC winner receive a paid trip" so I thought that, like previous HSC, 2nd would also receive an invitation

TaKe is a terran player/fanboy isn't he. He even made a tournament just for terrans late in WoL when we were losing everything :D I'm sure there will be some.

you will never see NaNiwa at HSC The Germans (TargA leaves in Germany I think don't really need to qualify as the paid trip mean nothing to them

I didnt say he threw the game - but after this much damage he should have managed to win this game "easier". Zander did great by handling the push but as you said, everything else should be worked on..
I don't understand why Titan refuses to keep HT's/make a lot of cannons at his peripheral bases. Better defenses would have put him so far ahead in this game, if not won it. :S
On the other hand it would be cool, if they kept them secret and did some big unveilng show right before start of tournament. Like You wonder who else is playing in group B? He just arrived Its.....
