Another EG member taken down... hopefully HuK doesn't follow in Revival's footsteps :/

Good guy San, finishing his game quickly so we can watch HuK vs sOs

Will we see SoS get Huk'd?

That's quite smart actually, hadn't thought of that

You know they're in the Fellowship, you know they do stuff and maybe some of it sorta mattered but half of the time you struggle to remember what their thing is, what they look like or what they're doing. I know that it makes no sense for EG to be the Fellowship. Merry and Pippin have awesome personality. And I say that as an Alive fanboy. Alive and Revival did some relatively cute Proleague video I guess... I suppose that's kind of like hanging out with treemen. Yeah I personally think they have personality just no one else does Their WCS AM interviews were pretty funny haha.

He played whack-a-mole thanks to the immobility of mech and completely abused the fact you can't defend your bases with anything or your army gets rolled over. I'm not sure what's so great about that. It's like winning a kick-boxing match against a man with no legs and claiming an amazing victory. It was pretty amazing. I just think thanks to the handicap Flash set himself by going mech, that pretty much any pro-zerg player could have won from that situation. Curious really didn't do anything all that amazing, his entire victory revolved around him keeping 4 units alive, which as casters really isn't all that difficult. Curious survived a death push early on after an early deficet with patience. He saw an army that he couldn't fight push at him after it was 3 base vs 3 base and he sacced his natural and his main to give himself a fighting chance. (An example of his brilliant decision making and Flash's bad one - he should have chased down the army). Flash made the mistake of not getting a second reactor starport and pumping vikings, but thats on him not Curious. Maybe my judgement is being blinded by being constantly shat on for wanting mech to actually be viable in SC2 as well as being a massive Flash fanboy who's upset that he can't seem to show his true potential in SC2 (which is also probably down to the fact his mech was so amazing to watch in BW) and I'm sorry if it is, but I really disagree with you. Even with a second starport there's very little Flash could have done to kill the vipers. Most of the vikings would either get abducted or killed by the hydras as the vipers retreated.
I really don't think this is true, but even if it were, Flash still showed very poor decision making. As already mentioned Flash should have gone for the army, not the main base during his big push. Furthermore Flash was constantly losing chunks of his army because he didn't manage to keep it together.

Overall SoS should be the better player, but in PvP I feel HuK can work his magic.

I think I'm just looking at the way Curious thought about the game. He was behind early on and through most of the mid stages as well, but he made all of the decisions he needed to for a victory. I still think with only 4 vipers, 3 bases against 1, if Flash had say the patience of Gumiho he would have waited till he got an overwhelming amount of vikings while denying Curious more bases, but he didn't and he did his Flash thing of constantly attacking and Curious punished him for his mindset.
I guess the difference is that you think Curious had an inherent advantage over Flash because Flash went mech and mech is inherently disadvantaged against Zerg hive tech, while I see it as Curious did everything he could to out think Flash and use the game mechanics while Flash didn't.

That's the issue. If you can't split your army with mech (I realise this isn't entirely what you're talking about) you can't deal with people just running in and killing all your bases. For mech to work properly you need to be able to split your army slightly to have a chance of dealing with that, but it's just not possible.
The issue that game wasn't the vipers, it was the fact he couldn't stop a dead zerg just running in and killing anything since leaving units at home (atleast enough to make a bloody difference (5 tanks in BW could probably hold a base)) just leaves your main army worthless.
