If people would stop balance whining pls, the real question is - did Flash at all have an option, throughout the game, to get ghosts? If so, there is no balance problem. If not, there may be.

This QQ here is pretty amazing. You guys realise Vipers can be sniped easily (They take the bonus damage, SNIPE OUTRANGES ABDUCT), and can be countered with anti-air (Vikings with raven support)?

snipe range is longer than abduct and it fires instantly, three ghosts each casting one snipe will kill a viper before it could pull a unit if you scan ahead so you put the command in first.

LoL, the abducts. Guess after that game there is no question trying that shitty mech again. It belongs just to TvT.

Thats just shows that "thinking outside the box" doesnt pay in SC2. SO bad.

Flash never got a critical amount of vikings to deal with the vipers. He should have stop making so many thors when the muta switch was over.

Well The combined mech/air upgrades is a buff to vikings so they go well with mech and can zone vipers fairly well

Considering the gas cost of units like tanks, thors, vikings, gas cost of production (factories/starports) and upgrades, getting to ravens and ghosts is not really viable in my opinion. Unless you turtle completely but even then we saw zerg win such games, even with BC/raven on the field.
