Well gee, I just hope that they would just try to explain these things to the audience...
Audience, that watches LoL? Apollo and Artosis will enable you-are-newbs-mode at finals, as they are TV'd
Didn't stop the Koreans from offering up high level analysis of the gameplay.

One of the things Day9 talked about in his dailies is trying to cater to everyone, the people who know only the basics of SC2 should find some sort of information to glean from the casts without boring the guys like us who know what's going on from the production tab. You can't get 100% and each caster finds his own way of catering to as many as they can.
But what everyone can relate to is shitty jokes ^_^
Is that what he is trying nowadays? I remember that dailies were used to be him going into extreme nuances of the game in terms of build, timing, and decisions.
Even in the dailies he would say things like "X player is messing up, he hasn't produced enough drones" in a way that implies to people who might not understand everything in the commentary that you should constantly produce drones.
Not exactly, its a tradeoff. If you constantly try to produce drones, you won't have enough army for that huge lategame engagement. You might not even survive a push by opponent OR you may not even have enough resources to do so even. Zerg are played upon economical risks and awards. So no you shouldn't be CONSTANTLY producing drones but rather choose to so at appropriate pace.
haha yes please do teach us more strategy, we can all learn from you it seems
Thought that this was pretty rudimentary stuff but whateves...
this whole thread is going completely over your head matey, please stop with the inane drivel
Its not stupid or a drivel. Just casual observation of the game.

If that's truly what the dailies are saying, then lulz to that.
Or probes. My point isn't the validity of the statement, my point is trying to get everyone to walk away with something extra, whether it's information from an educational daily or entertainment from an SC2 cast.
I just feel that the casts could drastically ameliorate. In the TI3, pretty much all the casters stayed on focus the majority of the time instead insert tiny fluffs there and there. And do you not think that they aren't trying to cater to new audiences? No they absolutely are!
It's all about personal preference. if the majority prefers this type of cast then it's in their best interest to provide it. and it seems like the majority prefers it.

And here i am thinking, that complete analysis mode is irrelevant since absolute majority of ppl watching have a clue of what's up. In korean cast there is a person, who's job is to entertain the viewers afaik, right? Sadly we do not have 3rd caster in casting desk for that, so casters are jacks of all.

Yes we do, we got two actually. Since you said that complete analysis here is irrelevant thus not existing, what the contemporary caster are doing is basically providing the opposite of that (which is to serve to "entertain").
