I don't understand why they don't bother splitting them against storm either.

Rain played that amazingly well, GG!

Rain is the closest thing to Tassadar that reality can offer. :p

First upset of the day, didn't think hyvaa would be able to take a map.

Well done Rain! Still not an enjoyable lategame style from a viewer perspective

Same reason zergs don't split up banelings against tanks and widowmines. Lazy.

Finally a good series today.

Wouldn't that be BW Stork and his carriers?

While your corruptors are getting into position the protoss are attacking your corruptors... and then when the corruptors finally get there to attack, the protoss takes a step back and now your corruptors aren't covered by your other units.
edit: and as for 'not splitting corruptors':
You already have so many things to worry about. Keeping your derpfestors from running into the protoss army, landing your fungals, your neurals, abducting stuff (if you have vipers), positioning corruptors and splitting them (and air units clump as they change targets unless you constantly micro them), hitting transfuses, trying to snipe templars with locusts instead of letting them derp on the stalkers, controlling your overseers so they don't just die and then you don't have any detection against the mothership...
That's a few too many things to micro at the same time.

Honestly that type of army composition makes zergs ignore micro for the most part.

amazing game.
was that the first time someone made a mothership in a meaningful pro game in HOTS?
|
Thousands of damages are done by fungals ... to shields, therefore basically wasting energies. It's always a tough choice. Once you decide to fungal, you'd better make sure you chain fungal to death, or better not use it at all.

That storm thing is already too late, at that point, I think he's not thinking about this game anymore, already planning to throw the towel.

Well, if we're talking about back then, sure.

This doesn't work for a few reasons. For one, you'd get the shit stormed out of you while moving over still. Two, you'd have no cover from the rest of your units. And three, which is a result of two, the stalkers could completely go to town on the corruptors. Unless you have overwhelming numbers of corruptors, there's no way this would work.

Nice game overall, wp by Rain. Now if Trap wins I will be happy

The real version of that is protoss use prismatic allignment and kill every corrupter before they fire more then 2 rounds.
