Sorry this is Twitch's fault and they know it. This has been getting worse and worse.. we need some competition for this medium in my opinion. If I were an SC2 tournament I would dump Twitch as fast as possible.

The other streams are working...Even during the huge stutter the other ones ran fine.


Streams with lesser viewers are usually fine

I think I didn't explain it well. In a sense swarm hosts creating free units is something that's silly to say, because locusts have limited life and aren't too different from a unit like the tempest that simply has very long range. I don't think it's free units that's the problem, I think it's the fact you can deal free damage.

In Brood War there were some counter factors to this. Zerglings are very cheap, but they still cost some minerals. Spider mines cover your tanks and allow you to control position, but you can't reposition them after the fact. Reavers and carriers can deal powerful long-range damage, but their attacks cost minerals.

But in SC2 you have locusts and tempests, and you used to have snipe and infested terrans that are free damage and it's kinda silly in a lot of late-game scenarios.

This is exactly what I meant, to get more mines you had to build vultures which costed minerals, not wait out on energy regen, or some cooldown.

Well guess Grubby doesn't know how to play it or something. Revelation would've been so kick ass in the lategame there, where he could be sniping the infestors and vipers without stephano being able to do much. There were many things in that game Grubby did well, but he didn't seem to know what to do in the lategame.


Yeah, honestly it doesn't seem like foreign protoss players (I haven't seen any KeSPA/GSL lategame PvZs yet) aren't trying to be patient like their zerg opponents. Tempest/Carrier/ht seems like it'd be really terrifying lategame cause you can just use hallucinations/oracles/etc to get vision and pick off units and force the zerg to engage into storm/carriers. Otherwise the Zerg sends free units into carriers and storms and it's an even trade.

It is actually a bit of a surprise, because I'm pretty sure it was Grubby vs Stephano on like release day of HotS where they went into lategame like that(on same map, reverse positions) and Grubby was using revelation, tempest and air with offensive cannons to fall back to aswell as ofc hts+archons and mass VR I believe. No idea wtf was going on there, but his lategame seems to have gotten worse...
