Why do my fpl players always have to get the hardest matchups.....fantasy vs jangbang and soo ZvZing roro.....at least I still have bisu, bisu for ace!
Man half of these matchups could've been OSL/MSL finals.
Parting Shine Bisu Rain Fantasy for 4-1 SKT in my opinion, but then again I thought Woongjin would have an easy time vs EGTL so who knows, it's a new Proleague with HoTS.
Really hope for the very big off chance reality will beat rain and fantasy loses. Can't wait to watch, Fantasy pro league makes stuff so much more interesting.

God I hope you are right, parting is my captain and stork is on my anti-team. And stork got 4 points last game, hurt me
The best is if Parting gets played as the ace or Bisu. We don't need know of that rain ace here >.<
Jangbi is one of the best player on SS so I'm pretty sure they're gonna use him. Also Rain has sick late game PvP so if they get to ace match, Rain vs Jangbi is most likely going to happen imo. Bisu hasn't proved much and so has Parting. You shouldn't get so excited over 1 win.
IMO the decider here is parting/stork, if stork wins they have a good shot of ace. with bisu's new form and SKT's strong toss lineup i don't see the 4 tosses losing here

We can always rely on Stork, Jangbi and Roro. They have proven from time to time they can take games when it matters.
These look like really tough matchups for khan. I think if shine doesn't win there is a good chance for a 4-0. Stork or reality could maybe pull off wins but I see them at a disadvantage, especially reality. Then Jangbi has to win too against a very good opponent. I have a hard time seeing skt lose here. I just want Bisu to win.

Just watch the VODs, man! Then you can skip the breaks, too. Even if subscription is required (I can't remember), that's only $5 for the rest of the season. Studying is important

lol I hate it when people lump fans of teams into groups to criticize it's just dishonest and mean-spirited (sometimes it's in good fun, like playful trash-talking, but I've rarely seen any of that kind)
To each his own, I thought vuvuzelas were actually interesting. Parting's ceremonies are all negative and have been done before over and over and over again. Granted vuvuzela ceremonies aren't exactly original (and are pretty lame, let's be real), but I generally don't have an opinion about them unless they're just mean and boring. I thought it was funny that the vuvuzelas ended up getting banned though lol

This isn't TL general or KMD; read my posts as if I were incredulously whining and playfully tossing around hyperbole, I'm not actually being serious lol my beef isn't with his ceremonies, it's with him beating Stork (if you can call it a legitimate beef). Well technically it's OSL and GSL but that exists within the WCS. Kinda like some the F1 stops wasn't part of the championship and didn't count as points. (some years ago) (but in this case these are NASL, DH etc)

Don't fall back into mediocrity Khan, we just emerged from a horrible horrible round irrc with some epic wins, just to get 4-0'd by all protoss line-up from SKT lol
1 widow mine in each mineral line deflects oracles. There wasn't really anything special with bisu's oracle play. The commentators definitely hyped it more than what was warranted. Yes the oracle got 12 kills, but that was because True never had enough units to deflect it.

Turn tried to go for a proxy 2 rax but bisu scouted it and deflected it, unfortunately lost quite a few probes. bisu follows up with stargate oracles and kills a lot of turn's workers, game continues normally until turn is forced to all in from the economy deficit. turn pulls all his SCV's bomber style and bisu holds the all in.

On April 08 2013 16:18 marvin. wrote: Can someone summarize the Bisu game? PLEASE? THANKS <3
TurN opened 3 rax, 2 of which were proxied. Bisu beat it with 2 stalkers and the mothership core, losing 11 probes. TurN went home and expanded. Bisu followed up his own expo with stargate and killed 12 probes in return with 2 oracles. TurN went for some attack with only marines and Bisu shut it down easily. GG.
On April 08 2013 16:18 marvin. wrote: Can someone summarize the Bisu game? PLEASE? THANKS <3
Turn goes for a 2rax with one of the barracks being proxied near Bisu's base. 2rax turns into 3rax as Turn does s frightening push into Bisu's main. Bisu deflects it but takes heavy probe losses. Both players expand, but Bisu also puts up a Stargate. Bisu kills a lot of Turn's workers with some nice Oracle harassment that puts Bisu in an economic lead. Turn tries to push into Bisu's natural several times but fails each time, and finally GGs after he failed his last push even with SCVs pulled.

in hots new, the BADASS, KICKASS terran music that started every match in WoL with terran in it now doesnt start the match anymore

Man I really wish Terrans would actually use Hellbats TvP. I am very confused why I see so much marauder marine right now, hellbat marine ghost viking or hellbat marauder viking is so much better. I have an insanely easy time vs marine marauder on ladder right now.
This game just illustrates everything that is wrong about Sc2. What the fuck did Rain actually do to win that game? For 90%+ of the viewers are I am sure that it just looked the Rain turtled for 15-20 minutes, and then a-moved raped his opponent. Im sure he probably did something that was difficult to execute, but it should be alot easier to see as a spectator when someone does something that is difficult to execute.

It's really good in theory but it actually feels really awkward to mix in hellbat with MMM just like mixing ghosts in mech.

I've hit it on ladder. Every Terran I've seen using it has an insane TvP winrate, and this is high master/low GM. We also saw it in herOmarine vs CranK when heromarine won.

Are you joking? He built his economy, tech and army while perfectly defending Reality's pressure.
Reality invested in harassment which failed, so he was at a disadvantage. Not to mention Rain also had excellent control in that final battle, especially when he sniped all those full medivacs that Reality mistakenly loaded and did not boost.

There are aggressive protoss styles too, Rain just choose to play a solid style of defending until he has a large enough advantage to attack. The way he executed his build was beautiful to watch for me being a protoss player.

the game still has problems imo and is still heavily deathballish. But i feel terrans should get hellbats / the new thors (which are immune to feedback) combined with bio/viking/medivacs and if terrans STILL lose horribly against the protoss deathball then maybe there is a bigger problem at hand here. the terran super army should trade "evenly" against the toss army allowing back and forth trades, in that game the protoss army clearly just stomped all over the terran army (but the terran army was just bio, no hellbats, no new thors)
i guess flash will provide the answers soon (hopefully) if he cant find an answer there is no answer imo even he lost to rain but the match looked a bit closer
also as a protoss player i was heavily against the mothership core nexus cannon concept because it just made any good protoss (like rain) garuntee the game is a 3base macro deathball fest since the mothership core should realistically make all early game aggression nonviable against a good toss... but the extreme power of the widow mine (for its relative cheap cost) imo is the new toy terrans need to try to abuse to do early game aggression against toss without the widow mine nothing will work imo
the widow mine is pretty powerful for its 75/25 cost and it comes so early... the insane early power of the widow mine may be why blizzard wanted protoss to get the insane early power of the mamma core

Wait? You dont praise someone for building an economy and teching and building army right? This isn't Starcraft 2 anno 2010 or Sim City. Also I like the fact that you couldn't say one thing Rain did to win that battle (when medivcacs were sniped the battle was already won).
There are aggressive protoss styles too, Rain just choose to play a solid style of defending until he has a large enough advantage to attack. The way he executed his build was beautiful to watch for me being a protoss player.
Maybe - but the problem is that you have to be a "competetive" protoss player to enjoy that type of game. I still have no idea what Rain did that was actually executed better than the average master league player.
It is my understanding that one way for protoss to play is to hold off Terran pressure until he gets a really strong army, then move out, try to play it well positionally, and then hope to crush the Terran army. Reality did not successfully harass Rain at all because Rain's defense was really good+his harass wasn't good enough I suppose, so Reality lost in one fell swoop (plus he made some poor decisions). It wasn't that fun to watch though just imho, but a win's a win.

I don't think there's any balance issues with Terran vs Protoss army compositions. If you have ghosts to blanket emp the zealots and archons they will melt, leaving all the key units vulnerable.

I agree with you, although I would argue the same thing happened in BW TvP with the Terran player defending and then attacking with his near-max army.
Bleh I missed Rain . I don't understand the complaints about Rain's play. Gateway versus any bio after the ultra early game... or even in the early game. Management style ist he smart way to go.

Execution wise, this game was very easy actually. There was nothing particularly difficult done by Rain. The only hard/impressive part of this game was knowing when to expand to his third and the other building timings. Other than that, he probably wasn't playing anywhere near his max APM.
If you had a masters player play the game and had Rain tell him what to do, the game probably would have looked the same. Reality was way too marauder heavy and Rain literally just a-moved.

Rain won that battle because he already had an advantage in army composition, having fended off Reality's aggression without taking damage.
You don't substantiate your claim that matches like these can't be enjoyed by anyone but competitive players of the races involved—you're an example group of one, and I who barely play SC2 can say I did enjoy it, and we're at a stalemate...
I get your point, that games with more back-and-forth action are more enjoyable, and I agree they are. You make some ridiculous claims though.
I thought Rain's vision coverage around his base was very thoughtful. He had two Observers right outside his main, Pylons watching around his third, and his army straddling in between his bases that was split well enough to be able to react against any of the easily seen drops at a moment's notice. The game might have been different if Rain didn't have as good of a coverage as he did and if Reality actually did damage with his drops.

Definitely, and that's mostly what it came down to. It was the best drop defense I've seen in HotS so far, with immaculate vision and army composition and splits.
Reality should have cut his losses and returned home with those medivacs when he realized everywhere he tried to drop Rain was ready to meet him. Instead he lost a lot more losing all those units to kill a few zealots.

There will always be outliars. Regarding your analysis of the game, I think your wrong as Rain took alot of damage when he tried to engage before that and if you want to defend harass (as prtoss) you can actually do that - Terrans really have no reliable way of dealing direct damage.
Anyway, but this isn't the point, this is actually quite irrelevant and I am not even complaining that we don't get to see a back and fourth multitaskbased game. But given that we have to watch two deathballs clash vs each other after a turtling period, then I want to see a battle of micro vs micro. The fact that one player just attack moves kills the shit out of me.

I am jealous of your team. Have been since I saw it in the "post your team" thread but I lacked the faith to go down that path (couldn't get further than Rain/Parting/Fantasy).
..and it also felt wrong to copy/be heavily influenced by a fellow netizens team, you know.

Yup me too. First thing I did in the morning! Bisu!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man SPL has been great in round 4. It's almost like what the atmosphere used to feel like.

Even the SKT zergs were impressive last round. With Fantasy being the only top-tier Terran that SKT has, SKT's Terran lineup is surprisingly the weakest of the three right now.

It seems it's been like that for a while. Even during 2010-11, their zergs would sometimes do well. Fantasy's been carrying the terran lineup by himself for a long while now.
