The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained.

Everyone with eyes and a brain disagrees with you though (that is, except the 5-6 names that you always see spewing the same anti-Zerg garbage and that you learn to ignore eventually).
I have eyes and I think I have a brain, too, how else would I be alive? I feel like I should be insulted by your comment, but not really. Maybe some open-mindedness?

haha what?
I actually thought Life was the one that looked like he needed a long nap just after game 1. At that point I wouldn't have been surprised to see Flash win 4 straight with how exhausted Life looked. Guess I was wrong though!
flash fans, relax. flash has been playing hots for what, a month? i honestly didn't even expect him to reach the finals this time. and he just got into code s. things are just beginning for him in sc2

Perhaps that's how you feel personally. For me I despise the 'random' things in Starcraft, takes away from it as a legitimate competitive activity to a degree, for me anyway.
The guy posting about lucky/unlucky scarabs hits the nail on the head.
Would building tanks really help flash in that series? I think that's the only series recently that I remember where Terran didn't build tanks against Z.

Just means that mines are a huge gamble and people should stop relying on them.
Yeah, that's exactly the problem with mines. Too much randomness, not good for an esports game.
what about bw scarabs, spider mines and goon pathing? I think randomness is great for the spectator aspect. Adds a ton of suspense.
Some randomness is great but it might need tweaking a bit. There was a crucial point in the last match where Flash retreated behind two mines which then did almost no damage and he lost his whole army. Then in game 2 a single mine took out 21 zerglings. It's a great unit though and encourages the players to spread out. So glad Blizzard brought mines back but needs tweaking imo

Zerg has been strong since the very beginning. Protoss needs a buff of some sort and Terran needs an answer to the variety of weaponry Zergs pose. Warhounds should have been kept in the game but Nerfed. I think reapers should be able to slightly more damage to Ground units like workers so that early expansions by Zergs would not go unpunished

It has an activation time. The units passed by so fast that it went through its range and no particular unit triggered it. Mines are really good and really powerful but they are not the end all unit that was made up to be. What needs to happen is some buffs to things that can stop speedvacs drops and the game would be in a pretty good state of balance.
The mines all actually shot right in middle of the sling cluster, yet like nothing died.
Really think hellbats would've worked better than those mines, they atleast make the zerg consider twice before they send the slings into the meatgrinder. I'm just so confused after those mines, it was like splash was disabled or some shit, they killed so little.
agree those mines need serious splash damage or rework..
I don't know about that, I don't really think the intention of them was to use them like Flash was doing, but it was just so.... odd. Normally a player doesn't run through a mine field like that, so when it happens you expect 25-50% of the army to die, especially since it was as clumped up as that amount of slings can be...

Lets not overstate it. Flash is average in SC2. God of SC2 is still Mvp.
Mvp hasn't been the God of anything since his health issues. There is no God in SC2 let alone bonjwa.
Yeah I mean its not like he won his 4th GSL after his health issue, or IEM cologne after his health issue.
Righttt. There is the one god, and he is Mvp.
and exactly how many tournaments did he get knocked out of? He hasn't been the same player and there is not one player who truly dominated everyone. Sorry if not everyone buys into the fact that MVP is a God because he isn't. He did pretty darn good in WoL and I'll leave it at that.

The mines bungled cause it seemed like the lings were too quick or something. and then the explosion fizzled. Dunno, might be cool with a scarab fail feature.

Well if you don't count Life game, zerg are 3-21 in ZvT in this tournament. And Life barely win against Polt and Last, even if both are really good player, Life has been since the last 6 month of MLG hand down the best player in the world and I think it's fair to say he is a way better player. Furthermore, yes he did win at the end, but a lot of his win was due to the fact that he cleverly exploited the HoTS metagames with his baneling bust timing, it's not going to work as much now it has been shown. It's not lying to say that zerg is a little bit underpowered against terran, I'm not sure if there is real problems in the PvZ match up to be honest, but there is style a lot of room to improve bio mine in terms of timing and the micro/positionning of the widow mine but I really don't see how you can play better that Life did.
If you don't count foreigner zergs the map score is 10-9 in favor of zergs. The majority of the losses you cited were foreign Zergs getting ripped apart by Flash, Bomber, Last, and Innovation.
I'm not saying there aren't any problems, but the data from this tournament shows a pretty balanced game if you consider relative skill level. GSL will paint a much better picture of how the balance looks.
