Obviously not the best game but it was pretty damn good. oh, it was a good game, im talking about the fight they showed us in the replay, not the entire game. my point is that watching two balls clashing is not so fun to watch.

When you are playing for 30 000 dollars, you want to use strategies that you know have been tried and tested. Even if mech ends up being much more powerful than bio, it makes no sense for these guys to go mech at this point where it simply isn't figured out. Anyone saying they should be doing some weird and extreme HOTS stuff truly does not understand how the metagame works and how strategies evolve. Mech for example is not at a point where its nearly ready to be used in major tournaments such as this. That has nothing to do whether mech actually has potential or not.

They probably don't even know about the Emperors reformation of Terran. Or how people broke the Map editor to create better maps. They also probably think that Sc1 was less of a mess then WoL.

Really bad build order from First. What does timing of storm research do with anything? That last battle lasted a good minute, vikings/ghosts and colossi/templars were cancelled pretty fast. Then terran just reinforced with stronger units (P can't reinforce with templars, since if he doesn't morph them into archons, he won't survive long enough to get energy for storm. One colossus got out during the battle, but colossi can't do shit without support)

You proved my point -- his Templar came too late, so he couldn't reinforce with Templar. If he had it earlier, he'd have more Templar gathering energy for defense.

They couldn't even play HotS in the run up to the tournament. Why would they pull out unpracticed and untested strategies in the grand finals when they can just do what they have done for years but with buffed Medivacs? Says nothing about the potential of mech going forward.
