The units will move forward, which is good for the zerg as they will come into melee range with roaches, leaving part of the bio army still under the cloud. The correct response as terran is to kite back ASAP, but it usually results in taking a few free hits from the hydras anyway. This makes vipers a huge help in roach/hydra vs bio, both in battles and as a zoning tool.

He was one of the first to show how to macro and expand safely vs 2 base play that was very common in early 2011. Early bunker play vs zerg. He also showed the power of mass ghosts both in vP (EMP) and vZ (snipes). Was the top meching player in TvT, showed more BC play than any other terran, going hellion/banshee after the Queen buff. I could go on and on. He was THE first successful macro terran. And then he developed cheese. He became unbeatable at that point.

Early gateway pressure (before stim) was already strong in WoL, with msc, it would have been almost impossible to hold so having early siege tanks help with that.

It remains to be seen what the endgame is like, but they definitely seem to be better off than they are in WoL.

Yeah, tbh it's too early to say anything about balance. Everything is just too uncertain. Maybe a pro will find out a compositoin or timing tomorrow that will revolutionise everything in the metagame.

That's a shame. Grubby is just getting battered in this group it seems.

Widow mines seem a bit too good too fast. Maybe make it require an Armory just so they get delayed somewhat so the proxies are more of a risk. That said MVP is still the best player in SC2.

Would make a great TLFE. :o And that's just metagame influence, you could delve into skill in other areas, such as the marine/tank control and micro in 2011, mindgames, and so forth.
