It's pretty sad, that someone who plays Poker instead of SC2 to prepare for such an Event gets the spot instead of someone who derserves it. Seems like Titan doesn't really care about MLG.

Hopefully enough, he had to play poker because his SC2 earnings aren't enough to make a living so I hope he can concentrate on playing and improving again.

Ugh, get a grip on reality. More like he cares about SC2 so he plays poker to be able to continue with it. Not every player is on EG and gets multiple thousand dollars a month.

It's the offseason, probably the best time to take a break if you have to.

The best information we have is from what Titan himself posted on a russian forum. He said he started practicing a week ago, and that he had to play poker to earn money. Not that hard to understand.

And that's actually a story I'd like the casters to talk about once in a while, because it's pretty eye-opening about the hardships you go through as a progamer and it actually adds personality and makes you emotionally invested into the players, something the two Ax's really need to improve in, because all they're mentioning about players is pretty bland phrases like "he's very talented" "he's very underrated" and "Stephano. He's good, man.".

TitaN, top 16 player at the WCS finals can't make a living out of playing professionally.

Some people are still delusional about this kind of stuff.

It sucks but it's understandable for titan, off season means there isn't much money around and you gotta pay your bills and buy your food so it's not realistic for non-salaried (Afaik) players like titan to practise and not start doing things like play poker to get through the off season.

To be fair, he also said in that post that he gets tired of the same old thing and needed a break. It's possible that if he really wanted to, he would have been able to find some time to practice in between poker sessions.
