yeah. I wish Chris didn't take it to his heart, it's the internet after all. I am a part of it as well and I used to post some hard comments for EG losses as well. But the last thing on earth I want him to get sad because of it. You know, either it is love or hate, it is not indifference, and that is what matters.
I don't know about that. It seems like you just want to make yourself feel better about the bashing. How would you feel if someone came up to you and just started shitting on you for no reason. Then afterwards, they tell you 'hey man, it is either love or hate, it is not indifference.'. Would you feel better?
Being a popular player means being bashed or praised. I myself don't want Huk to be so stressed and would like him not to take it seriously. Football players receive tons of shit and everybody tries to deal with it. Nothing is wrong with fans being hateful or happy, otherwise all this makes no sense. Indifference is much worse to any activity. So please stop your pretentiousness.

Apologies to thank the fans always cheer me today. ㅠ ㅠ yet a lot of experience to be lacking guess ... Please wait a little bit frustrated without a good game right back harder and I'll be happy to show ~!
so it looks like he wants to keep playing which is good news. And yes, he's one of the best players on FXO. This was posted in his fan club from the in house rankings. + Show Spoiler +
. Potential good news for Grubby fans is it looks like Grubby is the #2 protoss on the team and 2 players ahead of him retired ( ) so he moves up to 6th on the depth chart if these are the relative norm for recently. Therefore, it wouldn't be crazy to assume he might get some playing time in the GSTL. I wouldn't be surprised to see him come out as a starter or something since FXO usually likes to send a player kind of in that range of skill first to feel out the opponent. We've seen people like TheBest, asd, etc. come out in that spot in the past.
Dat winrate for Tear. Dude must be a fucking practice Bonjwa.....0_0

But huk is 100% percent correct. He and Grubby came into GSL in the exact same way. Grubby got SMASHED in his up and down group then dropped out entirely. Huk advanced to Code S, basically got thrown to the wolves, and then got his worst MU against a hot player. Guess who everyone loves right now, here's a hint: it isn't the angry guy on twitter.
No one is bashing Grubby(one of the most popular players around) for quitting Code A or getting thrashed in the Up and Downs. But tons of people are bashing Huk for doing much better. Seems ridiculous right?
Still happy he dropped out. Can't stand foreigner fanboys in GSL LR threads.
That's one of the worst reason to be happy for someone's misfortune, at least say something bad about the player rather than the fans. :D
Do you remember when naniwa fans bashed MVP non-stop? There were a lot of bans that day.
A handful even went to MVP's fanclub and kept on posting trash.
I don't mind foreigners doing well, it just gets messy against the more established players. It's much better that if they lose, it's to Korean players who aren't that known. (i.e. innovation and Shine.) Honestly, they lost to players whom were mainly known to BW players until very recently.

I'm not happy that he feels bad, tbh I feel kinda sad for him looking at his twitter, but for me the LR threads are just so much more enjoyable without the foreigner fanboys. Well, there's still Stephano left, so atleast another 2 threads will be ruined anyways...

Foreigners fanboyism would be somewhat acceptable if the players they support would take the legit path and go from Code B, to A to S. When I see foreigners getting seeded straight to code S or U/D and then see their fans pretend these players are code S material, a part of me dies.

It's not quite that. It more that there's a certain old boy feel to regular LRs. There are mostly veterans who have seen every game that post either interesting or funny content, and there are the wizards that LR and keep the thread updated for those that cannot see the games. It's terribly enjoyable to the point that I read most LRs on TL over any other content.
When a foreigner plays, in come the fans and suddenly there's a bunch of people spamming "I iz here" posts or making wildly biased claims about why their favourite should not have lost; it waters done the content and makes it a lot less enjoyable.

Yes, Grubby and HuK are exactly the same in all other aspects, except their GSL runs.
Or
Grubby is considered to be a nice guy, he casts various tournaments and the community knows him better. I would also bet money on that Grubby would never behave like a child because everyone didn't bow down and praise him. Which is how HuK is behaving; thus attracting more of the same.
And no, I have never bashed HuK nor do I intend to because I think it's immature. But he can either accept that there are people out there that don't like him, or think that he isn't putting enough effort in to the game etc and wake up more determined tomorrow. Or he can keep whining and hope people will stop bashing him that way. Anyone not in their teens would realize that the second choice is a fantasy.
The only thing grubby and huk have in common is that they both play protoss. Their personalities couldn't be more different. Grubby is loved because he comes off as a genuinely nice guy. Huk comes off as an arrogant child in interviews, on twitter and then always goes on his emo rants when people don't love him as much as he thinks they should. I'm not a huk fan not because of his poor play which only consists of gateway all ins, but because he just doesn't come off as a likeable person.
Jaedong vs Lure g1: wow, Lure is legitimately good. He got a little sloppy when he went to the kill, by allowing the counter attack to do more dmg than it should've and he could have been a tiny bit more careful with his Phoenixes, but I guess it was due to him getting careless, cause at that point he basically had almost won. Flawless game up to that point, I'm impressed by this guy.
