Can't stand foreigner fanboys in GSL LR threads. That's one of the worst reason to be happy for someone's misfortune, at least say something bad about the player rather than the fans. :D Do you remember when naniwa fans bashed MVP non-stop? There were a lot of bans that day. A handful even went to MVP's fanclub and kept on posting trash. I don't mind foreigners doing well, it just gets messy against the more established players. It's much better that if they lose, it's to Korean players who aren't that known. (i.e. innovation and Shine.) Honestly, they lost to players whom were mainly known to BW players until very recently. Foreigners fanboyism would be somewhat acceptable if the players they support would take the legit path and go from Code B, to A to S. When I see foreigners getting seeded straight to code S or U/D and then see their fans pretend these players are code S material, a part of me dies. It's not quite that. It more that there's a certain old boy feel to regular LRs. There are mostly veterans who have seen every game that post either interesting or funny content, and there are the wizards that LR and keep the thread updated for those that cannot see the games. It's terribly enjoyable to the point that I read most LRs on TL over any other content. When a foreigner plays, in come the fans and suddenly there's a bunch of people spamming "I iz here" posts or making wildly biased claims about why their favourite should not have lost; it waters done the content and makes it a lot less enjoyable. This so much. I always like to read the LR threads, especially of GSL and other tournaments, because they are almost always entertaining and there's not too much bashing going on compared to MLG etc. But as soon as a foreigner competes eg in GSL, all you read is people bashing eachother, because the fanboys overdo it with their annoying bias. I really like Grubby as a person, but i could not even cheer for him, because of the fans.

Yeah right, there are only two kinds of people in this world: Annoying fanboys and elitists. In the case of Flash fans they are one and the same. I heard of that, but since I'm not a BW guy, never experienced it myself.

Probably not as smart as you to judge players after matches. You are gosu at this, let me know when you predict matches before they actually happen.

In the GSL right now:
Bet against any foreigner. Then bet against any player known to not care about the game anymore.
For the matches not resolved by the above, bet on players with stronger all-ins early in the competition, and players with stronger standard/macro player later in the competition.
When considering KeSPA players, it is inversely proportional to their result in SPL. If they overperforming (compared to what you would expect) in SPL, they will do badly in the GSL. If they are underperforming (compared to what you would expect) in the SPL, they will do well in the GSL.
If it's still unclear or too close to call, bet on the protoss in a PvZ and PvT, and the zerg in TvZ. If it's still unclear (mirror match), bet on the player with the higher GSL ranking. If it's still unclear, then flip a coin or bet against the player you want to win.
It's not perfect, but you'll probably get it 75% right.
+ Show Spoiler +The above is comprised semi-jokingly, but it's not too different to how I do my liquibets.

Poor Genius, always having his extreme high and low points. Hopefully he can make a comeback in HotS and show some new innovations and unique builds.

I'll say it again Jaedongs zvp isn't as awful as you make it out to be. Don't forget he literally beat youngwha and MC who is ro16 code S not that long ago. It's nowhere near as awful as you say it is, it's not amazing but it's not completely awful. Third game lure made sure his warp prism wasn't seen until very late.

Don't forget the most important rule: In photo vs no photo bets, bet on the photo.
