In GSL finals?

Bookmarking this moment: Roro screws up a bust on 3 base vs 3 base and a game where it's virtually even. Keen should be ahead.

Nope, Keen was behind before that attack, now it's kinda even. Also this map in cross position is so huge that Keen can't punish Roro at all.

When NesTea started playing like garbage, nobody said anything. But whenever MVP loses a game people immediately blame it on his wrist problems. Maybe he just lost some games? I remember when Flash went on that huge ace match losing streak, nobody knew what to say about it. Then a while later when he needed surgery, people started to retroactively blame the whole thing on his wrists. But he wasn't losing ALL his matches, he was only losing the ace matches. So it was kind of awkward.
Sometimes people lose games. But if he's in horrible pain all the time, and he's not willing to take some time off to deal with whatever injury he has, then he's losing the metagame, or something. People keep quoting him as saying that he doesn't want to fall behind, but if he's not able to win with these odd strategies he seems to be forced into then there isn't much point. I really hope that the problem isn't someone else pushing him too hard.

he's gonna punish him by having 2/2 when RorO has 1/1!

Life does it and Life's succesful as hell - unfortunately not everyone is as good as him, so it looks kinda weak if other players do it xD And to the pre-splitting discussion: It depends on the attacker/defender. The attacker has an easier time pre-splitting the units, as he decides when the clash starts. MVP was attacking and still didn't do anything to weaken the effect of fungal. One thing I want people to keep in mind with the pre-splitting is...its only effective once the engagement starts, if the targets aren't clumped, and if you dont focus fire. If the vikings focus fire, they all shift to be as close to the target as possible, clumping themselves. And even if they dont focus fire, if the target group is clumped, they'll still naturally drift right back together. Just food for thought.
Yeah, but still: It should really not happen, that ALL the Vikings are caught with ONE single fungal at the very beginning of the engagement and that kinda happened to MVP. I agree that the effect isn't that huge afterwards, or it is only effective once the engamenent starts, but it was just a huge mistake to let all the Vikings be caught by a single Fungal Growth.

They all have a finite range, and need to attack a single target. You can't pre-split. They all NEED to end up in an arc around their target. Uh...you can pre split. You can pre split sure, but one misclick and everything you have just dies. That's the issue, there's no way of ever stopping being chain fungaled once it's happening. One mistake and you loose all your mutas to thors. One mistake and you lose your half your army due to forcefields. This game is all about your opponent making mistakes and how you take advantage of that. There is a weakness in the analogy of muta vs thors and fungal vs anything Firstly, clumping mutas vs thors is a mistake that is much harder to make than getting caught by fungals. And this is why you hardly ever see it happening whereas these "SICK FUNGALS" most viewers here are so fatigued from seeing Secondly, infestors are mobile and often burrowed, thus should be present in nearly every engagement, thors have nowhere near this mobility so for example with ling/bling/muta even if thors are nearby, it is just a matter of angles of attack with muta, you split your thors for better coverage and they can even get picked off by mutas. whereas against something like BL/infestors the fungals will always catch your army due to their mobility, and the infestors can even be spread really thin across a siege line and get one big fungal off and then the others can come over and finish the job off. Fine, it's harder to control units vs. fungals but my point still remains. Oh and Mvp vikings were all caught by a single fungal, so it's terrible mistake by him. It doesn't stand because "beautiful fungals" will almost always happen in a macro game. And when it happens it is extremely punishable and you can't correct the error which usually snowballs into terran getting crushed even if the game was even up until that point.
Agree, same thing for zerg in ZvP. It all depends on how well protoss uses his FFs and you pretty much can't do anything about that.
