This game is all about your opponent making mistakes and how you take advantage of that. There is a weakness in the analogy of muta vs thors and fungal vs anything Firstly, clumping mutas vs thors is a mistake that is much harder to make than getting caught by fungals. And this is why you hardly ever see it happening whereas these "SICK FUNGALS" most viewers here are so fatigued from seeing Secondly, infestors are mobile and often burrowed, thus should be present in nearly every engagement, thors have nowhere near this mobility so for example with ling/bling/muta even if thors are nearby, it is just a matter of angles of attack with muta, you split your thors for better coverage and they can even get picked off by mutas. whereas against something like BL/infestors the fungals will always catch your army due to their mobility, and the infestors can even be spread really thin across a siege line and get one big fungal off and then the others can come over and finish the job off.
Fine, it's harder to control units vs. fungals but my point still remains.
Oh and Mvp vikings were all caught by a single fungal, so it's terrible mistake by him.

Because siege tanks attack air and prevent broodlings from hitting them? They can't hit infestors when their aggro is on broodlings. I do think chain fungaling should be fixed. Like each iterative use last less time would at least be a nicer fix. That would be wonderful. Fungal does a massive amount of damage, and it should. Its the infestors primary attack, for the most part its only attack. But with how they work now, the damage is never ending as long as you have energy. just chill guys, its hots only soon enough and fungal rly doesnt do all that much in hots anymore Yeah its just frustrating. Seeing it evvvveryyyy game. Im definatly looking forward to seeing how HotS will shake things up. yeah i get that on the other hand, although this is probably not the place to discuss it, look what the fungal nerf did to zerg in hots =/

Why wasn't MVP building any walls? Even in plat or below you see better walls than that.

You do realise you can manually target with your siege tanks right? It's a pretty damn basic skill that you see in every ZvT. You should be targeting the infestors yourself.
I agree about the fungals. Not in the way you say though, just get rid of the damn root which everyone knows sucks and has been saying for months.

Life does it and Life's succesful as hell - unfortunately not everyone is as good as him, so it looks kinda weak if other players do it xD And to the pre-splitting discussion: It depends on the attacker/defender. The attacker has an easier time pre-splitting the units, as he decides when the clash starts. MVP was attacking and still didn't do anything to weaken the effect of fungal.
One thing I want people to keep in mind with the pre-splitting is...its only effective once the engagement starts, if the targets aren't clumped, and if you dont focus fire. If the vikings focus fire, they all shift to be as close to the target as possible, clumping themselves. And even if they dont focus fire, if the target group is clumped, they'll still naturally drift right back together. Just food for thought.

Taeja should have one too though, he probably had the most dominant run in SC2 history. Life got beaten every now and then I'd go with MKP for having made it to more finals, but just barely But Leenock took more games in finals Marineking 5 vs leenock 2?

It doesn't stand because "beautiful fungals" will almost always happen in a macro game. And when it happens it is extremely punishable and you can't correct the error which usually snowballs into terran getting crushed even if the game was even up until that point.
