I guess when you have a 38% lifetime tlpd winrate you gotta take what you can get, but definitely lost a fan in me. Speaks a lot of someone'es character when they act like that. Well, technically he didn't lose a fan as you don't sound like a fan in the first place.
He most certainly isen't winning fans though, even though this HSC could have been a pretty big breakthrough for him.

Should've been a regame. It's undeniable that xlord was ahead, but it's not like he could just go kill stephano. I think if there is any doubt or chance, it should be a regame because anything can happen. The situation is unfair with either decision but a regame is less unfair because the better player is still at an advantage in skill.

Well the only unmannered thing there was to force a decision upon the 3 zergs, instead of admins sorting things out

Decision is ok, in reality XLord wins that game in 98% of the cases. Stephanos good sportmanship should be mentioned, he knows he very likely would have lost that game and grands XLord the win. That is ace. More power to Stephano
And really pleeeeaaassse stop the fucking whining, it is HSC after all.

Great decision, making that a regame will be a coward decision.

Xlord could of been a man about it and just go for rematch. yes he was like 90% to win this game. but 10% still can happen, especially if we talk about Stephano here. anyway respect for Stephano that agreed to give a win to Xlord and prevent all kind of drama. best of luck to him against MMA.

Pretty funny from Snute who lost a game on Daybreak against Stephano where he was miles ahead . He did that too against Violet at IPL5 I think .

Mad props to Stephano too. Big winner is Riot though, once again. Blizz big loser. Tournament ends for me here, this is not a competitive Esport.
Whenever I log into Dota 2 I get depressed because it has everything that SC2 SHOULD HAVE HAD. Blizzard have fucked up so bad

This is why you have clearly defined rules about these kind of situations ahead of time. I know HSC is all about the casual vibe, but that doesn't mean you can't have the tournament rules fully fleshed out.
Like lots have people have said, Xlord looks pretty lame here. I totally agree that he pretty much had that game sealed up, and I know it's frustrating to have a potential victory taken from you by something totally out of your control, but DC's like this aren't exactly an uncommon thing. Sometimes you just have to man up and take a regame. Prove you're the better player by winning again.

Is this honestly your first time seeing things like this happen? I'm quite intrigued with all the guys up in arms about this because guess what? This happens frequently when the advantages can be spotted. Good on Stephano for debunking it and showing good sportsmanship. Lemme bring something up here. When MKP was dead as shit in the IPL3 GSTL Grand Finals, TL decided that he should get a regame. Why not now.

I think this is the main point. I was shocked thet XLord got anything to say in the discussion. After that I feel everyone was a little biaised.

I accept that this is HSC so slightly different and the BO5 with 2-0 up was an innovative and cool idea, but letting themselves be pushed around by Xlord like that is complete garbage. The player should NEVER influence the decision of a situation like that. Only the plays he/she made before lag should. This is pretty much exactly my sentiment.

Unless one of the players had like 50 supply and the other had 200, it's a re-game. I don't care much about Stephano, but this is unfair.

Xlord did deserve that win and i don't blame him for arguing at all, but this still would have to be a regame since it was to close to call it a 100% victory.

Both stephano or xlord should not have anything to say in this matter... it should be the admin's only or you end with this good/bad guy situation like now.

Stephano can defend his natural, but not his 3rd. Then Xlord has the whole map while Stephano is trapped in his almost mined out 2 bases.

Why wouldn't he make it a bo5 so he could go 5-0 in the group? Poor sport.
