The beauty of the Proleague format is that the maps really don't have to be balanced. It's all about strategy and player picks. Teams base who they send out based on the maps and the strengths and weaknesses of specific races and players. Since it's not an individual league and not winner's league format it allows for teams to be on a level playing field and relying mostly on strategy to skew the match in a team's favour. Luckily Kespa teams tend to be very race balanced. Having maps heavily terran favoured play directly into Proleague's hands. As many people have expressed having ZvP all day every day is really just boring as hell. On most 'standard' maps this seems to be a very common occurence at least in recent trends. The new maps let us see more terrans they we do in, let's say, GSTL. It's honestly a refreshing change for most people and really throws a wrench in what has become a fairly stale meta game. I for one am all for it. Also, shine being shine. | ||
