Leenock didn't even split them. Also splitting Broodlords is a lot more impractical than other units because they move super slowly. Yes, that's how sad it is that Leenock didn't split them despite the danger of a vortex. That's how laughable PvZ is Hero should have lost that game when his army was obliterated but zerg mid game army sucks ass so he had to tech to broodlords and a game that should have ended after hero's failed 3 base push took another 20 minutes. Protoss wins pvz just as much as zerg stop complaining. If you think hero outplayed leenock and deserved the win you are way wrong. It's not because the midgame army sucks. Leenock had to sacrifice drones to fend off the push. He didn't want to take the risk, cause frankly, if you can get infestor bl for a confirmed win, why not? I love it when zergs try to perpetuate the false rumour of zerg midgame being weak. And Protoss wins just as much? You mean only the top few protosses? And only through 2 or 3 base allins? Losing automatically in the late game? Good balance. He doesn't mean Zerg can't win midgame - he means that when a Protoss goes Colossus you have ONE choice for composition and that is a fact. THAT is why Zerg steers towards end game because basically every game they have to defend a huge all-in or go up against Colossi. It feels weak (lack of options). I have seen COUNTLESS games of ling/roach infestor corrupter vs collosi. And what, do mutas suck now? infestor broodlord is just the easiest, doesn't mean it's the only option
Ling/Roach/Infestor doesn't work against a turtling Protoss who had as much supply as HerO did at that point. Attacking into him would allow HerO to come back. Mutas aren't something you can switch to at that stage in the game when HerO already has Blink Stalkers with upgrades and Archons. Leenock had to wait for Broodlords to not throw away the game.
Edit: DRG vs Tear at GSTL for an example of what happens when Zerg who is ahead tries to attack into a turtling Toss with that composition.

That's the best lategame Toss I've seen in a while, and it's easily undone by an unlucky break and a single fungal. You need to watch Xigua vs Squirtle from IPL5 in Entombed Valley. That was painful to watch as a pro-balance pov.
Why must you mention the "game-that-must-not-be-spoken"? I just vomited my dinner at the mere thought of that one.

On most maps if your opponent isn't brain dead you are not going to do any real damage with mutas (I prefer that style though to watch and play the game)... as for the other composition I can't even recall the last time I saw someone win with that. You really shouldn't vs. aoe damage and force fields, you have no way to dictate combat. Anyway, I'm tired of PvZ discussion there is good PvT to be had.

Haha I was just thinking how his post was the most ironic or silly I've read in awhile. Parting all-ins a f***-ton, maybe even more than most. He just does it so well.

I love watching classic PartinG-style PvT.
Remember the disconnect game against MKP? That is STILL one of the greatest games I've ever seen.

one can really see the lack of practice from mvp.
well, hopefully he can still pull through. would be kinda depressing if the blizzard cup is destined to be a terran-free event after only its first 3 games are played. even though this would be reflective of how much of a disaster the year 2012 has been for terrans with the exclusion of mvp's 2 finals runs.

Even as a Prime fan, Creator still needs to get some stability. He's definitely getting there though.
My prediction for the next Zerg bonjwa is ST_Brain. He's got some pretty interesting templar strategies, especially vs terran.

+ Taeja's dominance. ´Gumiho 8-0 in GSTL finals.
