really because Nerchio has 3 tournament wins this year, and Scarlett has 2....and Scarlett beat Nerchio in both their recent meetings (WCS and RSL).

I dont think that argument really holds. Maybe if you look at the whole career, but then I think thats irrelevant. Its like calling huk the best because he won a bunch of tournaments in 2010-early 2011.

WCS NA is not tournament with high level competition, what other LANs has she won ? And fact that she has better ZvZ than Nerchio does not make her better player overall.

she's only entered the MLGs and IPLs where she was put out by code S level koreans, kind of harsh to judge her lan performance when she plays the best players every time

She was also at WCS. But that is tough luck, there are a lot of players that could probably triumph over established names if they were able to travel as often. Problem is that that without that it is kind of hard to judge anything about the player, thus you cannot say she is better than Nerchio. Plus even if we count RSL it still does not really help.

TaeJa reminds me of Polt a little. Both are known more for their engagement skill, efficiency and not much for their macro (I've seen Polt and TaeJa float close to 1k minerals like 10 minutes in).

English isn't as melodic as italian so it would probably sound quite strange if someone attempted to emulate his style.

Khaldor casting in german was also always so much fun. He gets even more excited in german than in english (though I hate it when he calls mutaslisks "muten").

Oh man, when I first saw Khaldor he was casting a TSL3 qualifer of HuK vs Hasuobs. He was hilarious but I hated him so much! (He was making a pun for somthing like "hak fleish" or mince meat, sounded like HuK Fleish or something like that) but the ENERGY was indeed pretty great.

With that said, Vasa's energy is better. And Agreed with the statement that English isn't as melodic as italian. Every now and then an English commentator tries to be like that and fails so hard.

Just learn italian guys! New language of ESPORTS "because casters sound better" :D

IMO the top foreigners are low GSL Code S level (Naniwa made the round of 16 three seasons in a row, I think). But Taeja is one of the top 10 players in the world. Taeja's multitasking is just amazing, even among Koreans. No shame in losing to him.

More like Taeja atm is low code S level and foreigners are maybe code A at best.

on topic: Happy Taeja won, at least now infestor ZvX snoozefest as finals now. No PvP finals is good as well :p

Actually, since Taeja just won right now, he is the best player in the world...

But seriously, you don't just look at one season of GSL. Or else you would say Ryung, Sniper, HyuN and Bogus are top code S level players. For sure, they are having good runs this season and are playing great, but you need to do it multiple times to cement yourself as a top player. And since Taeja is currently 7th in points, he has to be considered a top Code S player.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_Ritmix_Russian_StarCraft_2_League_Season_2 (wins over bomber, feast, nerchio, Vortix, lost to Leenock in the finals)

RSL had some of the stiffest competition and included nerchio + Koreans. She finished ahead of every top Euro. Just because she hasnt had the opportunity to go to events yet doesnt mean she isnt as good. Every tournament they have been in together, Scarlett has finished ahead of Nerchio.

My point isnt that Nerchio's achievments arent better. Because they most certainley are. I just dont believe you can qualify who's better based of previous results.

You realize the whole RSL tournament was played on the NA server?

Foreigners are more like code A to be honest

Yeah, sure some are Code A, but it's a huge generalisation. Most are Code B.

Lol no. Most players in Code B are better than majority of foreigners.

Dude Code B Koreans are generally really good.

Isn't like everyone Code B, including me and you?

Actually you need to be at least KR High Masters to even qualify for Code B, so no

Don't they make (or at least made) an exception for non koreans that was that they just had to be in Korea to participate in the qualifiers, thus making any non korean code B?

I presume they'll only do it if you're at least a somebody or Masters in your region.

You guys are silly comparing Nerchio and Scarlett. They're on the same team and their skill level is essentially neck and neck, and they have a similar number of achievements. There are no arguments. You're typing just to type.
