Did you guys even watch the game? Anyway let's move on.
What about my statement is wrong? Sure he could have attacked the third instead of pushing against the forcefields. You could also argue that he just made the wrong call thinking that there wasn't going to be any more forcefields. Remove the fact that this was a completely meaningless game and you would just think he's making poor, misinformed decisions and nothing more.
He a-moved into a Protoss army full of sentries up a ramp, and went afk for 1 minute... Nobody does that, not even bronze players.
Okay, there's no point in discussion if you're just going to be closed-minded and not acknowledge my reasoning.

Ret probably should not be allowed to take part in next two or three Dreamhack events?
That's my opinion, should just ban him from a couple events for wasting peoples time.
Should Sase be banned as well?
Banned because people watched 10 seconds of a pvp and didn't understand what was happening?
The casters said he had 400 minerals to make a nexus but spend 200 making 2 pylons in his base with enemy stalkers everywhere. Not sure if he had the money but that's what the casters said.

in my opinion (and bly's probably too), yes he should. WTF was he doing getting carriers and a mothershit with blys tournament on the line.
This is so subjective and unrealistic. It feels like some of you people live in a drama bubble.
I agree that neither Ret or Sase took their matches seriously, but why should they even play? Nothing stops them from forfeiting and leaving, they can claim they are hurt or injured if they want, are they going to be forced to play? Ideally I would like the players to play seriously every game. On the other side, player would like to not be forced to play meaningless games and reveal strategies and builds for future events.

He almost won with those carriers though, it was really close
and with real units instead of carriers he would have certainly won

There should never be these kind of situations where already players that are out can influence who goes through. Don't blame players but blame tournament admins/rules and make them change for next time.
the players have to blame themselves for not winning more matches.

Or maybe he just though he was farther ahead than he was and that he could go carriers and win in a fun way.
Looking at both game 1 and 3, doesn't really seem like Sase was throwing the games.
●The groups are decided in the following order: points, maps +/-, internal match. In case of a three-way-tie of the previous criteria internal maps +/- will decide. ● Would this not separate the players and determine the group. The players will play a tie-breaker of BO1 against each other. The first match-up will be randomly drawn and tie-breakers will continue until the group is decided.
