I mean instead of killing the third i make my lings and banelings sit and wait outside his forecfields for 1 min....... gosh i use to be a ret fan but now im definately a ret hater.... so weak should get a significant punishment from his team
The game was meaningless, he played it out, no harm done.

To be honest i feel bad for him.

Maybe you weren't around when Naniwa probe rushed Nestea in a meaningless game and all of Korea went ape shit?

As a Naniwa fan this is pretty tense... but granted even if Naniwa doesn't get through Nightend will which is equally as a cool

I'm gonna watch Dota2, screw this. SO MUCH MAD These players call themselves professional - yet i see kids playing computer games. You think throwing games even if there is no chance of advancing (for either players/team) is ok in other sports? No they would get their asses chewed out, rightly so (For the fans and for the sport).
A lot of football teams put in their B-players when they are allready through in a group stage...

Do people actually like this format? Scenarios like this shouldn't even be possible. Ret could have half assed a macro game for appearances and we'd have the same result without the drama. This probably happens all the time but it's impossible to make accusations when it isn't super obvious. You can't expect being out of the tournament to just not influence anyone's play.

What part of being already a 0-1 Naniwa went through did you not understand ? The 0-1 part makes no sense. a) if head to head: nani advances in that situation and then the 0-1 doesnt matter. b) if map score: Ret advances and being 0-1 doesnt matter. he means that as soon as Ret dropped game 1, Naniwa was through which is true That still makes no sense. On what did the first game have any influence? a) if head to head counts for nani vs. ret: nani advances in that situation. The 0-1 doesnt matter because of head to head. b) if map score: Ret advances and being 0-1 doesnt matter because he still has the better map score. On map score. He didn't have better map score, it would mean that if ret even got a 2-1, he would have a 3 way tie breaker against nani and forGG, and Nani was through.
kk. Liquipedia had the wrong map score for Ret -_-

And Nani got punished hard for that.

Always jumping to the worst conclusions... The admins wrote Apollo and he said if Ret loses that game NE is through over Naniwa. So it's quite understandable most of us thought while watching that Ret is unfairly throwing the game. Not everybody takes a break in watching, tries to figure out tie rules and do the math themselves when there was such a definite sounding clearcut answer given over the stream. God all you people having figured that out earlier, get over yourselves. You all know how this misunderstanding developed and now you just want to feel superior. In any case, the only one that got screwed here is Ret, cause 98% of tens of thousands of viewers thought he is throwing a game unfairly. Not only that but it shouldn't matter whether Ret throwing the game affects the results or not. It didn't when Naniwa did it and look at the shitstorm that caused.
The Naniwa shitstorm wasn't justified though, so from my point of view that's a terrible example.

Anyway let's move on. What about my statement is wrong? Sure he could have attacked the third instead of pushing against the forcefields. You could also argue that he just made the wrong call thinking that there wasn't going to be any more forcefields. Remove the fact that this was a completely meaningless game and you would just think he's making poor, misinformed decisions and nothing more. He a-moved into a Protoss army full of sentries up a ramp, and went afk for 1 minute... Nobody does that, not even bronze players.

I'm gonna watch Dota2, screw this. Chill, Winston! Having fun when your all-in fails and its the last game of the torney is not the same as"throwing a game" So go walk it off... And Nuttin goin on them DOTA2 streams rite now anyways.......
I don't think you watched the game. He didn't even try. His lings and banes could have gone up to the third and slaughtered it, but he went up the ramp, then right back down again and just let all his army die against the forcefields.
So it's not that his all-in failed, he did indeed not even try.

Banned because people watched 10 seconds of a pvp and didn't understand what was happening?
