It's also really simple to do and makes it difficult to separate the skilled players from the truly incredible ones. Honestly, the fact this strategy is viable only does the best Zerg players (and Scarlett may well be included in this) a disservice as it doesn't give them a chance to show off their multitasking or ability to engage, etc. It'd be stupid though to do anything else because mass infestor is essentially unbeatable. HoTS can't come fast enough.
Eh, I've quit WoL and have had your mindset that HoTS will make everything better.
But between the new swarm hosts, hydras, vipers, ultras, and mutas, man..... Game just aint what it used to be.

Oh, Scarlett forfeits the last game. Ah well, rooting for Lucifron in MSI Cup next. :D
Also, this means fraer is first in the group! Fuck yeah!

Same. She's the most abusive player in the scene right now. 61 infestors lol

I'm looking forward to it a lot. I miss the days of watching great Zerg players pre-BL/Infestor and queen nerf. I think the new units + more and more infestor nerfs will make Zerg dynamic and exciting to watch against.

Sure, continuous immortal/sentry pushes from two bases is not abusive at all. I'd love to see the day when a zerg wins vs protoss with just two bases at 25 minutes.
Congratulations to Fraer for not being abusive at all.

Lots of Scarlett hate in this thread. Sounds mostly like anti zerg QQ and angst.
Well played games by Fraer though, I've never seen him play like that, he did great. Some really nice forcefields made that frustrating for Scarlett I'm sure. I remember the last time they met Scarlett crushed him with some hilarious nydus play as well as repeatedly getting lings into his base.
Last two games were good examples of why there's infestor/sentry QQ. Not much you can do against that many forcefields...and also not much you can do against that many infestors in the previous game.

Wait, you've quit WoL but you want it to stay the same?
Fine, lets say you want it back to when infestors arn't the best units for zerg. You know what the best way to do that is? Nerf them, then buff hydras, ultras and mutas. Every other race is also getting new units and zerg now needs another caster now that Infestors arn't a catch all unit, so you throw in Vipers which are in my opinion the most fun to watch unit in the game right now.
Come on man, you can't both hate WoL as it is, and not look forward to HoTS.
In other news, I for one am sad Scarlett is out but at least she's still making people cry in Iron Squid.

Why do ultras, an a move unit that is now good against everything-- aka a colossus, and mutas need a buff exactly?
Is Zerg a horrible race without infestors? Didn't DRG win a GSL with muta ling bane? Didn't Nestea win 3 GSLs without relying on them?

i suggest you play 50 zvps on entombed and another 50 on ohana, then come back to this thread

As a side note, I wonder what pre-snipe nerf mass ghost vs. mass infestor/broodlord would be like. Could make for some pretty wild games.

She's the most abusive player in the scene right now. 61 infestors lol how did the game even come to that? fraer tried a 4gate +1 attack with phoenix support but failed hard because Scarlett sniped all of his proxy pylons. Then he transitioned into a robo and a third while Scarlett put on some light pressure, he held, the game stabilized and Scarlett got a fourth and turtled into infestor/broodlord/spines with focus on infestors. Fraer harassed with two warp prisms all over the map and sniped the greater spire and the hive with an immortal drop and zealot warpins and constantly took out her sixth and seventh base on the left side of the map with drops from the other prism.
Then he overcommitted and lost all of his stalker/sentry/colossus army to infestors, had to rebuild and teched into mothership and took more bases while still harassing with warp prisms so he could get carriers out. During all of that, Scarlett sat back and defended and massed infestors and spines. And you saw the rest, I guess.
