It wasn't that bad by naniwa, im not really sure what he was supposed to do. He was building mass archon because he had 8 million gas. What are you supposed to build there to win?

I'm guessing Naniwa would have to sacrifice workers to in order to get a similar army size. Either that or stretch Thorzain thin by warp prism harassment.

But not sure. I can't believe other terrans aren't building as many ghosts though because that's the counter to the entire protoss race.

No toss should never sack probes. Just build HT's, not archons lol.

HT's make no sense when terran has 300 scans and is using them as you will never win HT vs Ghost battle. Observers also are necessary, but they die constantly. Naniwa did not have bad composition. He did not play smart enough. WP harass, with zealots and DTs against production facilities and using that to get ThorZain to bad position and to have to multitask more.

Sure they do. Have 15 ht's spread out. Maybe he emp's half of them. Doesn't matter as long as you just get off 3-5 storms and you can killl 50%+ of his army. Then you rebuild at home; NOT IN FRONT of THorzains army. That was the biggest mistake he made last game and one of the most stupidest thing I have ever seen.

You are surprised that a protoss player warped in close to a battle? Well I guess it is nice to be surprised but well you think after seing it happen in 10000 protoss game it would start to lose its novelty.

You shuoldn't warp in into a battle you are clearly losing. That's just a waste of ressources.

Thorzain is playing quite well, I'm enjoying the spooning. Both Hero and Naniwa seem to be having trouble effectively engaging him. We'll see if Hero plays a better series.

happy to see ThorZaIN with a nice medivac count to heal his bioball, I feel it's rare to see him in lategame vs Protoss with more than 4. I think without that, those chargelots warpings would have been devastating.

What an innovating play by Thorzain. It was the first time I've seen a turtle terran win vs warp abusing protoss.

It wouldn't have been possible with the harassment, Terrans may start to abuse mules late game to counteract the larva/warp abuses. The x2 army count maxed out is what gave Thorzain such a cost efficient machine, Terrans in TvP try to maintain an economic lead then crush their opponents through macro in the late game, very similar to PvT in BW. Instead of trying to out macro the opponent, Thorzain found a way to out micro his opponent with a higher max supply army.

Abusing MULEs to get a higher supply count will be the only way for Terran to trade cost efficiently with tier 3 toss and zerg. I hope more Terrans will incorporate abusing MULEs in the late game to increase max army supply to try to out micro the max opponent army. If you think about it, Terrans only need 3 scvs on each gas in the extremely late late game situations, if they have enough orbitals to support minerals with MULEs.

Thorzain and EmpireHappy have done this (successfully)for ages.

IT actually do surprise that this style isn't used more in KOrea. Too some extent Thorzain has to use this style because his mechanics aren't good enough to play the korean way. However, I would still expect this to be viable for many korean terrans. At least untill it gets figured out.
