So Ryung shows all throughout today that TvZ is still very winnable for Terran. Not overcommitting, abusing Zerg immobility of BLs. Textbook stuff. If he had made a few ghosts to EMP, it would have been even more lopsided. Zerg messed up. He had no spores/crawlers to defend vs drops. Because Ryung constantly kept forcing him to make units, so he had no money to make the 8+ spines and 2-3 spores you need per base to stop double medivac 3/3 drops. You guys act like we have infinite money stocked up in the late game, it's only when you turtle and allow us to rack up a bank that Zerg runs out of control. agreed, the pace of the game was too fast with all the careful pushes, zerg didn't have that 1-2 minutes of turtle where spines/spores make the invincible deathball turtle so much easier But you don't move out before. Then he should have defended longer/split up his army better. The zerg was just heavily outplayed. Not a surprise since Ryung is a better player than Curious. Since more terrans play the game than zergs, Ryung is like the 0.001% best terrans, while Curious is like the 0.01% best zerg or so. I love LR's recent increase in math skills, its awesome to see.

Ryung kills basically ALL of Curious' tech.
Curious pretty much still in it right to the end because he has Infestor/Broodlord/Corruptor. And if he'd had a spine crawler with his army he could have probably just walked over to Ryung's base building bottom left and killed it all.
Hmm...
Great play from Ryung. And obviously delighted to see the first of Aiur's two chosen ones go through.
Parting to take second in his group and set up a PvP final against all the odds. ;P

And yeah Browder curse in full action, basically telling every Zerg that the strategy they have trained for lately will most likely be nerfed soon (well it is the fault of all those non stop qqers at the end, that we will have a month of Zerg depression). I know he wrote that nothing might happen at all, but peoples minds work differently. I hope they will try a map first. Antiga pretty much showed how to make starting bases anti muta. And remove that Fungal presses stop on the opponents unit, thats just the most annoying thing Fungal does in my eyes. And it would also help increasing the viewer experience when units don't go retarded after a fungal. Especially medivacs and warp prisms. If Fungal messes up my units I can press stop fairly easy (same works for Forcefields), but giving them new commands every Fungal/Fungal wear off is quiet taxing. Especially since the AI attacks summoned units first.

If he had made a few ghosts to EMP, it would have been even more lopsided. yeah if lopsided means like how you have 6 bases, a huge army, you rape a zerg completely killing his economy and tech and still almost losing to infestor/broodlord and only manage to win the basetrade He didn't almost lose. He did another double drop and split his armies up while letting Curious walk into his base and kill production because he knew he would win either way. He could have also brought his army back, and with good splitting and target firing, killed it off that way. Yeah, it looked even but if you were paying attention to the minimap you knew it was over. Eventually the Infestors would run out of energy.
Are you really going to use this game as an example of how to win in TvZ?
Of course Ts and win against Z, their win rate is not zero. What people have been saying (including Korean pros) is that if both sides play well, the Zerg has an advantage late game. This game was just an example of Ryung playing a lot better than Curious.

He killed everything except the army of Curious (who was not trying to make anything more than units after he lost the hive) and when he engaged the deathball it was over his production (after losing 5 vikings due to bad rally) while a considerable portion of his army was killing Curious main.
If the situation was reversed and Curious had a less valuable army and his hatcheries were camped while he was killing the Terran base, the game would have been close too.

It would be absolutely hilarious if we had a mini-GomTvT in the Ro8, with every Terran advancing ^^
It is, of course, not possible, but it would have been fun.

Yeah, all one of them so far have been dreadful.
Still better than more mind-numbing TvT though.

just be happy about how well ryung played, good to see him play so well after the slayers debacle It's quite interesting to see balance whine occuring simultaneous with celebration for two zerg losses. That's pretty much the point. Zerg games are easily some of the most boring to watch. Turtle, turtle, turtle, fungal everything, amove blords. Less zergs= more watching! The only zerg I want to make it through (and he definitely will) is Leenock.

Yep. People are overplaying the harass. It was great don't get me wrong. But you can harass and kill tech all day, but if your opponent still has enough going to get up to a 200 killer army, you're still going to have to deal with it at some point. I mean he killed the spawning pool a couple of times which was good, but lings don't appear in an infestor/bl army. The higher tech stuff didn't go down until the very end when the army was amassed anyway.
What is it day9 says? If you're getting harassed, just go kill 'em?
Plus, I guess no-one gets banned in LR threads anymore?

This has nothing to do with math. Its just logic. Check the numbers your self on sc2ranks. Ryung is a relatively better terran player than Curious is a relatively better zerg player. THat's a fact.
