I see european mech players usually put a PF or two to make a choke around that area. Maybe he could've kept Curious on an ultra tech while preserving his economy. And maybe keeping a few battle cruisers and retaining his raven count in whatever tech route he's forced to.
P.S. Creator's build in that last game was so sick. He throws in those archons and the corrupters need to get in range of the archons to target down the collosus. You need to spread them pretty well to have a chance. It was nice to see how it differed versus Parting's compositions in Hyun club.
add production facilities when you are max on 5 bases...
Both players had enormous banks, but ryung was still only on 5 factories + starports. He needs more factories (and probably more PFs at home) to deal with an ultra switch.
to put that in perspective, he had 5 factories when he was on 3 bases, and was still on 5 factories on 5 bases. does that make sense?
When they traded armies, ryung's production tab showed the following: 4 hellions 3 siege tanks 4 factories.
compared to 18 ultralisks. I'm sure he would have preferred to build those factories while max, instead of after the battle, so he could be making 4 hellions 3 siege tanks and 4 thors. or 4 hellions and 7 siege tanks. He had the money for it at this point.
Adding production is like toss adding warpgates when max (or zerg continuing to inject heh).

Exactly, production is the key to keep up with zerg tech switches. Also PFs could be simcitied with some structures, so the ultras cannot surround and kill them that quickly.
A slow terran switch to air could provide the anti-ground units like cloaked banshees, BCs and PFs to deal with ultras. Banshees are also really annoying when they can snipe not full covered bases/drones and infestors. Ravens can provide PDDs/HSM to deal with corruptors. Ghosts can also kill bases with nukes and stop BL/Inf/queen from advancing to your position.
The Terran arsenal is scary as shit if you combine all those strenghts together.

B-but, the tears....? Where did they go...?

I've always wondered why random posters that are most likely in low leagues try to argue with Idra, or other pros (though it seems mostly with idra) like why? He makes good points and has far more experience and game knowledge than 99.9999% of the posters on here or any other forum (unless there's a forum only for successful pros.) We should be thankful to have pros still posting here once in a while, seems most of the good players have completely stopped posting on TL. Instead people argue with them.

That's just a generally bad line of reasoning. That's like saying unless you play in NBA, you can't point out what the players doing wrong. Not saying they are right, but they are also not automatically wrong for being "random poster in low leagues".

Because we haven't forgotten his constant whining for the first 2 years of this game.

Everyone that posts is biased. Yes he is biased because he likes to win and he makes money from it (do keep in mind that unless he wins a GSL he's not making anywhere near as much money from winning at SC2 as he is from just promoting the EG brand) Everyone is biased, everyone that posts does so with the mind set that they like to win and they don't like to lose. Joe mcbronze is biased because he doesn't like to lose, billysue gold is biased because she doesn't like to lose. No one is unbiased, but when you have actual pros such as idra or incontrol or morrow coming in and once in a while chiming in their opinion, they get a whole slue of random people bashing them, which makes pros and community figures stay the hell away from the community, which is not a good thing.

I'm not sure if it's not a good thing. I mean, if pro's want interactive with fans it's always great, if they want be part of meaningful discussion, they can't be on top of a pedestal though, otherwise the discussion if not worthwhile. I'm against wonton bashing, and their experience definitely is a big plus, but if you can't take the heat, then stay out the kitchen. And BTW, it's not only pro's getting bashed, everyone is getting bashed by those who do not agree with them. it's called public forum and not much you can do about it, and it's much better than monotone.

Yet he was right most of the time. He complained that maps were too small they changed that. He complained about lack of scouting options for zerg, they eventually buffed OL speed.
Idra complains a lot, but most of the time, his opinion is pretty well-informed and he can back them up. Is he always right? No, far from it, but he makes good, valid points most of the time.
