Just broodlord/infestor!

Zergs are getting better at playing it and it isn't getting any weaker.

With the strength that 2 base all ins still have in this game, any Protoss that goes to the late game without at least trying to end the game on 2 bases deserves to lose. I'd even go far enough to say that if you don't 2 base all in, you deserve to lose.

I'm just glad I don't play either race :D

but that means you lose to both of them ^^

I've never played a perfect game so I can't whine about balance from my ladder sessions ^_^

TL admins whining about Protoss rofl. Guess what guys if you add up all the PvZ at this tournament between the highest level of players (like championship bracket + group play) it's actually almost perfectly 50-50. It is 36-37. Soooooooo Zerg favored. I'd also call the zerg lineup at this event stronger than the Protoss lineup since you don't have like parting/seed/creator etc so if anything it should be slightly zerg favored.

I'd bet none of those Protoss wins came after Brood Lords we're out.

Guess what we're pretty aware of this? Most Protoss wins that I saw were 2 base immortal/sentry builds, or when I saw Oz hitting a pre-broodlord timing with 5 Collosus.

From what I've gathered they're arguing that HerO outplayed Scarlett every step of the way, lots of warp prism drops, landed an archon toilet, lots of multipronged attacks. In the final battle, HerO landed a double vortex against Scarlett's split army, but a neural on the mothership and infested terrans cleaned out his army, and HerO typed 'good balance' and left the game.

but we really have to see the replays to make the call. They should hurry up and release them >

Whoa HerO BM????????

I can understand the frustration because he plays Protoss in a way that really should be rewarded but isn't. An active Protoss is a fun Protoss to watch, but Blizzard...

Who cares how they win? If they win 50% of their games with a lineup that's about equal it is balanced. It might be balanced in a dumb way (which I agree that the way it's balanced right now is very screwed up) but it is balanced.

A passive protoss isn't rewarded against infestor/BL either.

Basically it's all about the soul push.

Looks like Life will win this tournament. Flash won't be able to pose any threat. Maybe Soulkey's brilliant ZvZ can do something, but it's hard for him to go through the bracket to grand Finals.

And when Zerg figure out timings to stop Protoss' go-to 2 base timing where will the matchup be?

Coming into the final day, imo there are only 3 players that can win this tournament. Life, Leenock and Rain.

Flash may have the best macro we've seen, but he's still rough around the edges and doesn't have the full game yet to take down any of the 3 favourites.

I'm against this personally, as it will just accelerate Zerg figuring out the push

Balance issues aside, I had a fun day watching!!

Flash vs Naniwa was a super exciting series and with all the stream issues the numbers seemed way higher than I was expecting + the crowd was pretty full during the better games ^_^

So game 3 on Tal`Darim. Hero is ahead basically the entire game. Ahead in supply, ahead in bases. Hero gets his army with mothership, scarlet gets blord infestor. Scarlet is basically mined out and hero is on 2 mining bases.

Scarlet decides to engage on hero's side and manages to neural the mothership which had just barely skirted ahead of where it should have been (it was trying to vortex the army).

She instantly vortexes his army, kills most of it and then kills his two mining bases. Hero is left with a rag tag army with a mothership and scarlet has a bunch of broolord infestor. They base race and eliminate all of the buildings....except for 3 spine crawlers which scarlet sticks in the middle of her army and then marches around the map with (very slowly).

Hero realizes he his only chance to win is to land a vortex on the blord infestor and then blink in with his 6-8 stalkers and try to pick off the spines. He tries this a few times but a) fucks it up b) lol too much blordinfestor.

He spends the next 15-20 minutes walking around the map doing nothing hiding pylons and at one point types "good balance" (grack was watching and started to giggle).

Not my account, but that of someone who was watching it live.
If you don't like it, you can quit.

New 2 base timings! Maybe some more 1 base stuff even. I'd love to see 1 basing come back into PvZ some how.

Leenock probably SHOULD beat Bomber, but not sure what state his ZvT is in these days. Pretty sure Life is the heavy favourite of all players still left, specially if he get's ZvT's and people try bio vs him
