Muta/ling is just a bad choice. It gets shut down in so many was versus terran. Ironically, I think it's underrated v Toss. edit: look at those fungals then think about what the mutas did. I suppose they were another way to shut down the hellions/cloakshees but harass wise/ sniping tanks? Ehhhh. Infestors are so much better. edit2: Ret could have had 9-10 more infestors. muta ling can do wonders but u need a proper korean zerg for that .. say like Leenock

You end up wasting a lot of energy just to kill random solitary banshees at a watchtower or something. It's allinish because it is a momentum play. Without safe thirds toss can't really defend mass muta. However with the third tosses can tech up enough and keep upgrading til the mutas begin to lose their effectiveness in direct confrontations and the supply begins to punish zergs. So the zerg needs to be willing to go in there's make the decision to fight or not fight at the right moment. The alternative is to build a broodlord/infestor army that once built will always be a complete pain in the ass to kill. So it's a lot safer to do. Plus you can camp that army at a base you need to hold and keep it safe. So I think the allinish factor arises mainly out of the complete dominance of the other strategy rather than the weaknesses of massing what ostensibly is a harass army. edit: I think that's kind of true of infestor vs muta choice in TvZ though I'll admit there's probably a subtlety in terms of deflected harass affecting the choice. edit2: AT&T SPONSORED THIS!?!??!?! WTF That's awesome!
