Not the highest level play, but was fun to watch nonetheless. And qxc deserved to win in game 3 for sure.

its kind of sickening to see the huuuge discrepancy in entertainment value between ultra/ling/infestor tvz and broodlord/infestor or infestor/infestor/infestor tvz.

WP QXC. I'm a zerg player but I, too, like it when Terran wins! I've got my money on you for the tourney.

Whoa, QxC, godlike play in Game 1.

In game two, I would have liked to see him relinquish the third, force roaches up the choke while attacking with SCVs to buffer. Probably wouldn't have won, but still~ /edit Maybe even hold position to block and force focus fire. :O

Bravo. Best series this night imo.

Yes, because terrans have infinite scans...

Once you get enough orbitals then pretty much

Like zergs have infinite larvae...

point is it is easy to scout what tech Zerg is going for. They can't hide it like Terran.

zerg has both tech buildings at the point (roach warren, spire). But will their next production cycle be 10 roaches or 7 mutas? That is the key. Zergs can get pretty good scout with overseer. Yes, you need to sacrifice it but scans also sacrifice mules.

once your maxed your maxed son.

I am talking about the mid game... That game didn't go to max vs max...

whatever, almost no one makes Mutas vs mech on purpose. Turrets are fucking amazing anyway...

You make mutas to get map control vs hellions and to contain the terran. Did you watch that game at all? Didn't you see mutas? Did you watch Life vs Mvp?

Life is an exception, Mutas are mostly useless vs mech unless you rush to them. You have map control against mech if you go roaches as well.

And btw I didn't watch this series after game 1. Qxc is just so bad and Ret was playing very poor.

So why make a comment when my original comment was about that game??

I hate that disrespectful shit like dancing units. Grow up kid.

How is it disrespectful? If anything, no gg is.

How isn't it disrespectful? The other guy is trying his best to survive with the series on the line and he just stops trying. And it was perfectly reasonable for Naniwa to stay in the game. It wasn't some boxer-esque or fantasy-esque gg timing with one scv left and a barracks floated to the corner of the map. Naniwa was finishing out the game the best he could and Crank purposely shows Naniwa that he has stopped trying his best. What constructive message can that possibly send?

No gg is definitely disrespectful but is obviously in response to the disrespect Crank showed first.

Why must it send a contructive message? Perhaps it is nice for viewers to see and exciting to people currently on the venue.

If you're going to start questioning why things ought to be constructive, then this discussion has lost all reason. We have to at least agree that good and constructive acts are favorable to neutral, bad and destructive acts.

You suggest that it's for the purpose of entertainment. Everything is entertaining to someone and we all want standards of integrity and professionalism. The discussion is about where to set the bar. You've got to make an argument that a certain gain in entertainment value is worth a certain loss in professionalism. Merely suggesting that there is a gain in entertainment value isn't very moving.

I don't expect us to be able to calculate what's best. It's a matter of opinion, a matter of what people prefer. I know of forms of entertainment that are much less professional and wholesome than progaming and if enough people in the community wanted to head in that direction then progaming would. I state my opinion to say I'd rather head in a direction of increased professionalism. If someone was in control of it all, I would appeal to them rather than publicly state my opinion.

So, would you liken... dancing units or dropping mules to a team that runs up the score on another team, or that a team, with obvious victory in hand, show boats and does flashy things/trick plays to rub it in the other teams face?

His honesty is actually refreshing. At teamliquid I sometimes feel that everyone is too kind and polite towards people who post shitty content.

If you just let e-sports celebrities bm people as they please, then the scene will never mature. Celebrities should be held to a higher standard and that means being the bigger man and ignoring the trolls, not becoming one themselves. And by your logic, Toxi78's "honesty" should be appreciated, not condemned.
