Ret got knocked out by the world class terrans ganzi and qxc. But terrans like qxc are on another level so it is a disgrace he even managed to take a map of qxc.
Hawk lost to Naniwa and Thorzain, but no one knows hawk and nani+thorzain are swedes so he couldn't really do anything.
Sheth lost a zvz, and beat ToD who is known to talk for hours on end about how easy he find PvZ, while sheth has a notoriously terrible mindset and cannot handle even mid-tier foreigners.
Yes business as usual (which is to say there are no "roflstomp"-level overall imbalances in the game, certain phases of some matchups are broken, lategame in particular, and some tournaments have a thing called variance which means you can pick some rounds where zergs did extremely well or some rounds where P/T did well).

Violet should win against stephano in the finals unless any big surprises happen.

"the best fucking match ever ever ever of the whole galaxy" ? Like next time you could give us some interesting insight on this very game, for example: "tod has been struggling against zerg for more than a year, could be interesting to see if he has prepared something special" : i'm sure you get a lot more users interested in it than saying it's a stellar match-up when everyone knows it's foreigner ZvP between 2 players that are kinda underperforming as of late.

Your problem is that you're getting at it in the completely wrong way. You're making a massive deal out of what could be considered an annoyance at best. And most people actually really appreciate the casters trying to hype up matches. In this particular case it might not have been very successful, but hell, I don't see how you can get furious at a man for trying.

You did insult the work of TheBB about using elo to determine probability of win.

To be fair.. what he considers "normal speech" sounds to actually normal people like bitching and whining.

How much does the winner get? This topic mentions 35k, liquipedia mention 15k, and no where does it mention how much goes to first place, second place etc.

It's spread like LoL: 15k LoL college teams: 5k SC2: 15k I have no idea how the prize money is split among 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
