You should probably already find 4 people to do it though, so they can prepare as soon as possible. Fan interviews can be by anyone based on fandom-ness and ability to write a fun interview, but game analysis should be by people who understand the game and players well enough to say something meaningful. Should also be as objective and unbiased as possible, so a writer should not do the writeup for his favorite or least favorite player.

It would help to have some sort of format too.

this was really well done (by ver and monk i believe) but few read it since it wasn't featured and it was rather lengthy. not sure if we want a blow-by-blow recount, or indepth analysis haha

That is excellent, yes, but way too long for a preview. The way I see it, the preview should just give an overview of a player's play styles, map preferences, play styles on different maps, common strategies and tactics, and general analysis of his performance for the season. A blow-by-blow for every game he's played would be waaaaaay too long.

If it were up to me it would be formatted something like this:

I. How He Got Here

2. Map
3. Chosen build or strategies by each player
4. Summary of the game
5. Short Analysis

if we were to do that, I was thinking maybe a blow-by-blow of ONE game in the semi-finals only would be a decent idea? otherwise people would go 'lol tl;dr' (which i think a few people already have done for these interviews haha). and considering we'd have four - doing what you suggested might be better for the finals? as in, the I-IV that you laid out haha (which would easily be 5k+ words imo)

for semi - i'm thinking - maybe get four people to write a "why X will win GSL" similar to how the GSTL threads have been up. get that done for the semifinals (different people from the interviews, so we can get a bit of variety). people can throw in videos, pictures, photoshops, fan art, etc into those.

maybe do the player recaps like you suggested for the finals?

Why X will win GSL could be cool, as long as someone really funny and smart does it.
