Fan interviews can be by anyone based on fandom-ness and ability to write a fun interview, but game analysis should be by people who understand the game and players well enough to say something meaningful. Should also be as objective and unbiased as possible, so a writer should not do the writeup for his favorite or least favorite player. It would help to have some sort of format too. | ||

If it were up to me it would be formatted something like this: I. How He Got Here Group Stage 1 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis Group Stage 2 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis Ro8 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis II. How He's Performed 1. General Overview of Preferred Strategies 2. Map preferences 3. Trends and common occurences in games (common mistakes, flaws, or advantages won) 4. General Performance Review III. How He's Likely to Perform 1. Overview of how he plays out a series 2. Likely plan for the series given the map pool 3. Likely/strong strategies per map and why 4. Head-to-Head analysis of probably strategies 5. Head-to-head comparison of strengths/weaknesses IV. Predictions 1. Predictions for each map 2. Predictions for the series Something like that, doesn't have to be long, it should just have as much relevant info as possible to get everyone hyped up for the match | ||

Predictions for the series Something like that, doesn't have to be long, it should just have as much relevant info as possible to get everyone hyped up for the match Hm, even this, though, I think might be a bit too long. if we were to do that, I was thinking maybe a blow-by-blow of ONE game in the semi-finals only would be a decent idea? otherwise people would go 'lol tl;dr' (which i think a few people already have done for these interviews haha). and considering we'd have four - doing what you suggested might be better for the finals? as in, the I-IV that you laid out haha (which would easily be 5k+ words imo) for semi - i'm thinking - maybe get four people to write a "why X will win GSL" similar to how the GSTL threads have been up. get that done for the semifinals (different people from the interviews, so we can get a bit of variety). people can throw in videos, pictures, photoshops, fan art, etc into those. maybe do the player recaps like you suggested for the finals? | ||
