MKP, oh why do you have to face Life already?
Anyway, sick OP. Great, great work!
Also: if you need any help with writing or something like that for hype, I'll be more than happy to help. You've done a lot for the community with all the stuff you've done with LR-threads, that's the least someone could do :p

Done by intelligent and respected (and non-balance whining) forum members. Finals could be both. I guess you could start a writing staff for these LRs. hmmm, could be an idea! if anyone's up for this gimme a shout ;p
Gonna need to be subscribers so they can rewatch the vods. How soon do the semis happen after the Ro8? I could probably do this for a player if it's a week after Ro8

You should probably already find 4 people to do it though, so they can prepare as soon as possible. Fan interviews can be by anyone based on fandom-ness and ability to write a fun interview, but game analysis should be by people who understand the game and players well enough to say something meaningful. Should also be as objective and unbiased as possible, so a writer should not do the writeup for his favorite or least favorite player.
It would help to have some sort of format too.

Love the fan interviews. Ro8 is gonna be so good

this was really well done (by ver and monk i believe) but few read it since it wasn't featured and it was rather lengthy. not sure if we want a blow-by-blow recount, or indepth analysis haha

That is excellent, yes, but way too long for a preview. The way I see it, the preview should just give an overview of a player's play styles, map preferences, play styles on different maps, common strategies and tactics, and general analysis of his performance for the season. A blow-by-blow for every game he's played would be waaaaaay too long.
If it were up to me it would be formatted something like this:
I. How He Got Here
Group Stage 1 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis
Group Stage 2 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis
Ro8 1. Game #, vs Player 2. Map 3. Chosen build or strategies by each player 4. Summary of the game 5. Short Analysis
II. How He's Performed
1. General Overview of Preferred Strategies 2. Map preferences 3. Trends and common occurences in games (common mistakes, flaws, or advantages won) 4. General Performance Review
III. How He's Likely to Perform 1. Overview of how he plays out a series 2. Likely plan for the series given the map pool 3. Likely/strong strategies per map and why 4. Head-to-Head analysis of probably strategies 5. Head-to-head comparison of strengths/weaknesses
IV. Predictions 1. Predictions for each map 2. Predictions for the series
Something like that, doesn't have to be long, it should just have as much relevant info as possible to get everyone hyped up for the match

for semi - i'm thinking - maybe get four people to write a "why X will win GSL" similar to how the GSTL threads have been up. get that done for the semifinals (different people from the interviews, so we can get a bit of variety). people can throw in videos, pictures, photoshops, fan art, etc into those.
maybe do the player recaps like you suggested for the finals?

Yeah maybe that's also a bit too much, too long. People don't like reading. T_T the thing I posted might work better for a finals, you're right.
Why X will win GSL could be cool, as long as someone really funny and smart does it.
