Hero moves on and lifts Stalkers to take them out of the fight. Squirtle builds more Gateway units and pushes Hero back. Hero reinforces with more Stalkers and Zealots but has only 2 Phoenixes left. Hero pushes on with more warpins and has the unit lead now but a Zealot walks into Hero's main and kills 6 or 7 Probes there. With a lot of Probes pulled Squirtle is able to push Hero back again.
Probe counts are 19 for Squirtle, 17 for Hero.
Hero pushes on and has the unit lead again but has his Phoenixes idling.
He finally realizes it and takes them back into the fight and is able to push into Squirtle's main!
Squirtle has to use his Probes again but too many of them die and Hero has still some units left!
Squirtle has no more economy nor units left and is forced to leave the game!
Hero takes the lead with 1-0!

well, people have always complained about how pvp was 4gate every game, but even back then it was still awesome because there was similar micro battles

I'm liking how the ro8 is looking so far. 3 TvZ, which will probably produce some good games, and then a good PvP, which guarantees a Protoss in the Ro4. I like.

Oh man, I thought Hero was so boned there a couple of times. When his Stalkers started to peter out the Mars.tv (Chinese) casters both called GG.

Hero sees the Phoenixes and moves out with 5 Stalkers, building a proxy pylon in Squirtle's natural. 2 Phoenixes fly into Hero's main but get denied by 2 defensive Stalkers.
Squirtle stopped Phoenix production after 2 Phoenix and started Immortals.
Hero warps in a Sentry at the front to keep Squirtle contained in his main while he expands.
