No they allways win their 1st tourny after they join (Huk MLG,Puma NASL,Thorzain wcs sweeden) and then they start only loosing.

Yep, even Idra was doing really well for a while after joining EG, but now look where he is .

Lol, people still talking about the curse like it's actually a thing...

Hey, how about that Liquid Curse? NonY and TLO used to be so baller back in Beta, guess Liquid Curse made them bad. Zenio? Code S Korean before he got picked up, Liquid curse kicked him out. Jinro? Ro4 Code S, Liquid Curse took its toll, now he's retired.

NonY baller in beta? What the hell are you smoking?

TLO showed creative plays but I don't recall him winning a whole lot either.

The TL roster is just highly recognized names that these guys have known for quite a while.

Zenio has always been meh.

Jinro lost his passion for the game and should have retired a long time ago.

Look if you paint pretty pictures about yourself and keep trying to put shit down people's throats they're going to call you out on it.

EG may be able to buy players but they cannot buy championships.

I could go down the list and justify and rationalize everything we see if you want but that would be well over 5000 words.

Not something I'd like to do. -_-

So, Liquid gets to justify its curse with logic and reason, but EG just has to suck it up?

Obviously Liquid is cursed, don't you see the pattern?

I bet Taeja and Hero feels cursed and all

Taeja and Hero are clearly exceptions, just like JYP and Stephano.

Aren't you listening to all the guys on TL.net? Obviously curses work like this.

HerO and Taeja were already doing well long before they even got signed by TL.

You guys have to understand that there are different types of players.

Stephano like I said is low maintenance. He figures shit out for himself.

Taeja. Low maintenance. Dude's been solid for ages.

HerO. Let's his creativity and micro do the work.

JYP is very similar to HerO and is just starting to breakout.

I can't believe that you're honestly taking this seriously.

Look at the data. -_-

The data showing that EG has a voodoo witch doctor curse and Team Liquid doesn't?

Please, link me to this data.

Where did you see the players apm during game?

They showed it several times in the serie

Citing APM is really quite pointless when comparing skill etc. But it is relevant when balance whiners start going on about "a move race" or "1 a zerg" etc. If that was truly the case, Stephano wouldn't hover around 300-400 APM, going higher in engagements. Unless of course he a moves and then just spams randomly, which is of course not very likely. He's way too lazy for that ;D

Seriously though, people who are convinced that Stephano just won because he's zerg, look at the games again, in detail. Look at who made more mistakes, who had better positioning, who chose their engagements better, etc. Lucifron is a highly skilled terran player who impressed me a lot today, but Stephano played slightly better in games 1 and 3.

Imo you cant really tell anything from apm. When i play (terran) i average 100 and my opponents always have higher apm, especially zerg. When i watch replays and look at battles etc i really cant figure out what some of them are doing with the apm. Alot of it is just 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2.

It hurts alot to see Lucifron play so well, but at the same time fail so hard with his composition and engagements in game 3 (except the first big one). After that first one which went pretty good he should have remaxed on thors and hellions. I mech alot, and i know that mass thors beat mass ultras. Perhaps a few siege tanks to target fire infestors, but thats it. Hellion count should ofc be high to counter lings/infested terrans, but thats standard. Thors, lucifron, THORS!

Lucifron played very well. It is truly refreshing to see such a high class Terran emerge from the sea of zergs outside of Korea. I want to see this guy go far and I hope his brother can avenge him tomorrow! Lucifron for next code s/a seed next season!

If the guy didn't understood the first time the whole "eg curse mockery" is about players who are at their best when signed the contract and a few months later, they start to perform poorly, he won't get it no matter how you explain it to him. I think he believes you are speaking about voodoo dolls and stuff.

You keep missing the points that's fine. Be blind on your own I already explained it to you and another guy already explained it to you as well.

You should drop the comparisons especially when the criteria and recruitment was and still is totally different from one another for starters.

Be a punk on your own time because I don't make time for people like you.

Lol, "criteria". As I said at the start of this whole quote nest, I can't believe people actually take this whole EG Curse thing seriously.

It's a joke that people never got in on.
Average means I'm better than half of you.

I always regarded MLG as the best foreign tournament/production. But Dreamhack is slowly but surely taking over. And if you say you are as good as your last event then Dreamhack is ahead now imo.

Great show so far, can't wait for the continuation tomorrow.

mlg crowd way better

No i dont think so. You have to take into consideration that finals arent played today.

And lol at the balance whiners 340 APM vs 100 and its still incredible close Not that APM actually mean anything just goes to show how hard Stephano worked for his wins

From the games ive actually checked this in, when I play a zerg they often have (way) more apm and at the same time way less epm than me (my epm stays very close to my apm). Perhaps due to race mechanics or maybe the few games ive checked this in have just randomly been like that. Or?

EPM is commands. APM includes macro cycles. Probably they are doing their macro cycles more frequently than you are, but maybe too much.
