The problem of LucifroN is doing a good tournament or winning a tournament ... and disappears for months ... it is a shame for a guy with his talent.

Hey, how about that Liquid Curse? NonY and TLO used to be so baller back in Beta, guess Liquid Curse made them bad. Zenio? Code S Korean before he got picked up, Liquid curse kicked him out. Jinro? Ro4 Code S, Liquid Curse took its toll, now he's retired. NonY baller in beta? What the hell are you smoking? TLO showed creative plays but I don't recall him winning a whole lot either. The TL roster is just highly recognized names that these guys have known for quite a while. Zenio has always been meh. Jinro lost his passion for the game and should have retired a long time ago. Look if you paint pretty pictures about yourself and keep trying to put shit down people's throats they're going to call you out on it. EG may be able to buy players but they cannot buy championships. I could go down the list and justify and rationalize everything we see if you want but that would be well over 5000 words. Not something I'd like to do. -_- So, Liquid gets to justify its curse with logic and reason, but EG just has to suck it up? Obviously Liquid is cursed, don't you see the pattern? I bet Taeja and Hero feels cursed and all Taeja and Hero are clearly exceptions, just like JYP and Stephano. Aren't you listening to all the guys on TL.net? Obviously curses work like this. HerO and Taeja were already doing well long before they even got signed by TL. You guys have to understand that there are different types of players. Stephano like I said is low maintenance. He figures shit out for himself. Taeja. Low maintenance. Dude's been solid for ages. HerO. Let's his creativity and micro do the work. JYP is very similar to HerO and is just starting to breakout. I can't believe that you're honestly taking this seriously. Look at the data. -_- The data showing that EG has a voodoo witch doctor curse and Team Liquid doesn't? Please, link me to this data. You keep missing the points that's fine. Be blind on your own I already explained it to you and another guy already explained it to you as well. You should drop the comparisons especially when the criteria and recruitment was and still is totally different from one another for starters. Be a punk on your own time because I don't make time for people like you. You must be trolling, the EG curse is a terrible joke that people should have dropped a year ago. It's almost as stale as Stephano USA USA USA in stream chats.
EG is simply higher profile, so when their players lose it gets picked up on. And they picked up some players that were at the height of their careers and had nowhere to go but down. If you manage to combine this to deduce there´s a voodoo curse then I'm sure something is wrong with you.
The same pattern holds for every team, they have some players whose relative skill declines and some whose relative skill increases. TLO, Nony, Jinro, Zenio, Sheth, Haypro are all kinda irrelevant by now, so there must be a TL curse? Or Sase has done badly for a few months now, Naniwa left, so Quantic curse? Made-up sports statistics are so dumb, it's one thing to make fun of Fionn for his terrible predictions or to notice that HuK underperformed after joining EG, but to obsess about this for years, mentioning it after every EG game etc. is simply annoying.

Great show so far, can't wait for the continuation tomorrow. mlg crowd way better Last event was pretty pitiful imo, so not that great either. Yeah, Raleigh was pretty disappointing. their LoL crowd was pretty shitty too from what i heard though. was it just something about the time of the event or something?

Most peoples reactions to " hey dude MLG raleigh is this weekend " when I told them was " wait, really? "
too many events were happening at the time. IEM had ended just a few days earlier and spectators were still cooling off from that I guess.

perhaps EG pays their players more and thus makes them more lazy. Other possibilities have already mentioned by others, the fact that EG gets players who already are the top of their game being the most probable. There is no curse...

If the guy didn't understood the first time the whole "eg curse mockery" is about players who are at their best when signed the contract and a few months later, they start to perform poorly, he won't get it no matter how you explain it to him. I think he believes you are speaking about voodoo dolls and stuff. Yeah, because clearly IdrA wasn't a top foreigner a year after he signed to EG? Clearly his best performances weren't in the Fall of 2011, where he was an EG member for a full year?
And clearly JYP isn't doing better than he was when he signed to EG?
And clearly DeMuslim and Machine haven't improved as players?
It doesn't exist as a voodoo curse, it doesn't exist as an actual pattern, and the more you try to justify it, the stupider it gets.

Not trolling brother because when you look at everything it won't go away as long as players under-perform and they keep boasting.
This isn't hoopla and you can point out all those statistics all you want and people will keep rationalizing it all they want.
That isn't true at all with regards to heights. That's an illusion in itself and you never know until you get every ounce out of them. I assure you guys like HuK, Thorzain, IdrA etc. still have a lot left in the tank.
Lots of these players haven't peaked. Case in point look at JYP. Suppy got picked up as an emerging star and has ridiculous potential. Great pick-up and if he stops making those tiny, easy to fix mistakes in the games I've seen. That kid is going to win a ridiculous amount of games.

I remember Raleigh because that's the one that DRG got his Code S seed from, also Bomber actually winning a tournament that's not a Code A finals.
Columbus and Anaheim were much better though, yeah.
Mostly because MMA Mvp and Boxer.

Eg curse talk is just fucking annoying might be worse when stephano wins a gamw and people cry how it doesnt exist. That seems more childish and stupid than those who say its real
In fact its hilarious how everyone has become egs marketing machine so blindly. Thats all the curse is more attention for them and more people watching

Oh another edit?
Okay then.
Let me nip this in the bud.
It doesn't hold true for every team.
You guys seem to love the team liquid versus EG rivalry so let's talk more about Team Liquid.
TL was never based on results alone. At the beginning their roster was a bunch of guys they knew from Brood War with the only exception being TLO. It wasn't result based. It was about veterans they knew and liked. For exampe, Before Jos (retje) joined he wasn't even sure if he was going to dive in the deep end with SC2. He was just picking up the game. They've known ret for ages as he's been one of our top foreigners in Brood War for ages. It was an easy pick-up for TL and they had no idea where he would go with it.
Why the heck would you pick-up a player if you cannot rationalize it?
The reason EG gets so much flack is because of their over exposure and flaunting.
That's what happens when you are put in the spotlight time and time again.

For those who missed games there is the last game of the LB series Grubby/Ret which is really great. (Happy ending). It was a great day of gaming ! I'm just disappointed by Thorzain's result. I liked Redeye very much.

Nerchio will lose to BabyKnight I hope, then Stephano can chill until he got his money!
