Byul did alright until he decided that breaking forcefields was silly and kept the ultras far away from the rest of his units.

It felt like Byul was behind then he completely outplayed Yonghwa with great harassment plus multi pronged attacks and Protoss just defends defends defends and walks across the map and wins. This seems to be the case with a lot of ZvP's (and TvPs for that matter). That is why you gotta just tech to hive and build a million spine crawlers. If you try for aggression you won't have Broods in time for their push then you die.

Protoss ruining this game for me as a player and spectator.

Im sorry but I kind of agree. /hides from protosses. Although i havent really watched the games today so im not taking these into account.

I was quite sure that he would kick ass yesterday, but they chose Seed in the end. Nevertheless Yonghwa shows finally what he's capable of! LG-IM fighting!

YongHwa still had a hella powerful army and he used it to the fullest.

yea the benefits of playing protoss, your army is basically always strong if you have splash and there are brood lords and infestors lol

He also had 40 workers compared to 90 whilst not being down on supply that much. He then took a cost effective engagement and after that Byul was basically SOL. That combined with the massive amount of damage yonghwa did in the early game and the relatively failed mutalisk switch meant that yongwha really should not have lost that game.

Maybe next time he shouldn't make over 100 drones and lose all his roaches at the tosses natural.

Try closing gomplayer and reloading the live page. I find that if I have to close gomplayer between matches the streamlink gets corrupted or something. Refreshing the livepage works.

Hmm. Thanks but that didn't work. Oh well. No videos for me

check task manager for gom.exe, try going back to gomtv.net again and then click the live button, the url for it changes so refreshing doesn't always work
if all else fails, then reboot!
edit: if you find gom.exe in task manager then kill it! lol forgot that part

Not quite.

Yonghwa did a great job defending, getting his third up, and powering his economy ahead - he had over 80 probes. This allowed him to build up a strong army When Byul finally broke past Yonghwa's defenses and devastated his economy, Yonghwa had already completed building up a solid army - so he counterattacked with it in a last-ditch effort. Economic damage at that point is somewhat less important. Byul, in the meantime, had kept 90+ drones and questionable unit composition.

On top of that, Byul bungled the actual engagement horribly.

You're letting player frustration cloud your perception of things. If Byul engaged that army correctly with his unit composition, he won the game - he made a wrong decision by rushing it and lost the game because of that. It really sucks, but a few key decisions/moments are what ZvP usually boils down to in SC2 as right now.

He couldn't transition into broodlords because he didn't have the time, the upgrades, or the money. BL/infestor/corruptor only starts being really effective against stalker/colossus when they hit a critical mass - in low unit counts, the stalker/colossus player is better off every time. That's the point of spine crawler walls - buying time - but Byul didn't have nearly enough spines/time.

In regards to killing observers, do the pros just know the timings that an obs would normally be in your base and they go on a hunt for it, or are they just geniuses?

The margin for error seems to be much smaller for Zerg in this matchup. Although Byul made mistakes this game Yonghwa did too and I think Yonghwa's mistakes were much worse but mattered less because of the strength of Stalker, Sentry, Colosus before Hive.

It isn't just this game either. WCS was full of games like this and Protoss just kept winning
