Too bad. I don't understand this mentality. I have tried many times to understand.... if you don't think that way, don't try to understand it... you will only get frustrated, trust me. I do kind of get it given I was sometimes like this in brood war (No WeMadeFox = No watch for me sometimes) people like to be invested into the people they watch and I suppose they can't be invested into Koreans or something like that. I don't have anything against Koreans, but most of them are about doing the same build over and over again. While this works, gives them wins it isn't exactly the greatest viewing experience for me... 4gate popularity times, 1/1/1 popularity times... It was just too predictable.. With foreigners they tend to do funky stuff - like Vortix went Ultras instead of Brood Lords. Don't get me wrong, I still root for guys like Boss Toss, Taeja, (put Sen somewhere, even if he is not Korean) because watching them play is an amazing experience. I just don't get the hype. And I hate "Koreans are just better" mentality, because it has nothing with them being Koreans. If it was "people training Korean style" then that's something I can get behind, because that shows some results!
EDIT: Who should I root for? Major did not look that good versus Hyun... Recco's game I barely remember... I'd like to see more Terrans but.. SELLING MY HEART

Hahahaha the prize pool is probably $15K + 7K + 3K +... = 1 million dollars total

He a moved in one direction down that one ramp about 3 times? There was tanks there. Why do that? There must have been lag or something, I honestly don't get how anyone could make that mistake. If he'd have flanked he would have won. This is so common among Zergs. This is why they said for months that Ultralisks were “useless” and such. You know, this good ol' “Ultralisks into loss” theme in the old LR threads... Then you watched the game and saw Ultralisks being a-moved into unbreakable Terran positions, and you facepalmed.

Pointless discussion anyway since he's the best foreigner why wouldn't he be able to qualify ? It´s just a silly train of thought to argue: oh Stephano woulda this, Shephano coulda that. Well actually how can you tell? I'm going to start going "Inca could have won here, inca could have done that" whenever a protoss screws up I wonder how that would go down.
We all know what it would be that Inca would've done though. In every scenario.

51/49 same for Ohana there is no T map in the map pool as far as TvZ goes.

Win or lose, I love Major's play. He has a real style TvZ. It takes real boldness to buck the trend.

Considering the sample size, a 1 point difference is well within the margin of error.

Too bad. I don't understand this mentality. I have tried many times to understand.... if you don't think that way, don't try to understand it... you will only get frustrated, trust me. It's quite easy actually. Some people, including me, get an extra kick from a dramatic storyline along with the play. TSL, by design, pits foreigners against Koreans. It's how the qualification system is built, and it's part of the hype. It's what makes TSL unique among many other tournaments. We want to see the scrappy, underdog foreigner show a peak of brilliance in a prestigious tournament. It's the age old underdog story. If all you want is to see good play, of course you'll be fine with Koreans dominating. It's the way of things. And that's just fine, but try to understand the other perspective. There are so many tournaments, you get a bid jaded and want something extra. There are also so many foreigners with great personalities that you get hooked by if you're involved in the foreigner scene, which this community is in large part focused on.
A fully Korean TSL will have a ton of great games, but it will just be another tournament. That's nothing to scoff at, but it could be more.

But Ultras are not something that every zerg does. I was watching a lot of the games and it is the first time in a while I've seen Ultras being used. Pardon me for not watching WCS Korea/GSL, I know that GSL switched to twitch lately (this means I will be able to watch them... GOMTV account did not work for me for some reason so I missed aaaaaaaaaall the stuff)
